*part two of four*
2016
You and Chris have been dating for almost two years. Your second anniversary is coming up in just a couple weeks.
A part of you wishes this will be the time that he finally pops the question. The two of you have talked about marriage on multiple occasions, and you honestly cannot wait to call Chris your husband.
It's time for yet another Marvel premiere. You're very excited for this one because it's the first one that Chris has asked you to accompany him during.
The two of you have yet to announce your relationship to the public. The only people who know are your families and close friends.
Chris is stressing out. He bought the ring almost a year ago at this point. He couldn't wait to ask you to be with him forever. And then the nerves came. He chickened out. Even though he knew that you loved him, he was still afraid that you would say no.
Chris loves you with every fiber of his being. He can't see himself with anyone else. He would be absolutely crushed if anything happened to your relationship.
"I don't think I can do it, Robert..." Chris tells your father over the phone. "I'm so scared that she'll say no."
"Listen, Christopher... She loves you. I know that for a fact. She won't say no. She's waiting for you to ask her. Now do it before she asks you herself," Robert laughs. "I'm not kidding! I think she would get tired of waiting around for you to ask. You'll know when the time is right. It doesn't have to be a big deal. You don't have to put up a billboard to confess your love. Just ask her the question. She'll love it no matter what."
Chris sighs. "Thanks, Robert. I appreciate your advice. I just want everything to be perfect."
"Good luck. See you later tonight."
Chris leans back in his chair and runs his hand through his hair.
He hears the front door close, so he quickly pulls himself together before stepping out of his office.
"Hey, babe.." he says to you.
You smile up at him. "Hey, honey. I'm going to take a quick shower and then start getting ready for tonight. Care to join me?"
Chris laughs, and grabs your hand, pulling you toward the bathroom.

The pre-premiere jitters are starting to set in as the car gets closer and closer to the venue. Your leg is shaking, and you feel like you could throw up.
What you don't know is that Chris is also nervous. The black, velvet box in his pocket feels like it weighs a ton.
Your right hand finds Chris's left one and you give it a little squeeze to help calm the nerves. You can feel the tension in the air.
"It's going to be all right, babe," you give him a small smile. "I love you."
Chris brings your hand up to his mouth and kisses your knuckles. "I love you."
The car comes to a stop, and you know that it's time to reveal your relationship to the world.
"Before we get out, I need to ask you something," Chris says, dropping your hand for a moment. He feels around in his right pocket and pulls out the velvet box. "I was going to wait until later tonight to do this..."
You bring your hand up to your mouth, trying to muffle to gasp that escapes your lips. "Chris..."
"I knew from the moment our first date ended that I wanted you to be in my life until my last moment on this planet. I love you endlessly and I want you to spend the rest of your life being mine. Will you do me the honors of becoming my wife?"
You let out a relieved giggle before pulling Chris in for a hug and kiss. "Of course I will."
Chris lets out a sigh of relief before sliding the ring onto your finger.
"It's beautiful, Chris. I love it. And I love you, so much."
"I love you, (y/n). Now, let's go make the world explode."
Hey guys! It's been quite a while since I've uploaded. I'm promising to have regular postings or updates, but I'm ready to start writing again.
I am coming up on my senior year in college, so I need a little escape before returning back to the terrors of school.
