Versuchen POV

I saw the list of all the cities getting nuked across a large screen with the launch timers. The nukes going to the US were set to launch in T minus 9 minutes while everything else was in 30 minutes. I started to reroute the coordinates and was grabbed from behind while being punched in the face. I grabbed the Russian by the neck and threw him backwards into a wall while punching him several times. He leapt forward and slammed his hand down on the launch button as I plunged my knife threw his neck. I tossed his body backwards and saw where the nuke was headed: Berlin. I still had time to reroute it, but I wasn't fast enough and the nuke took off.

Versuchen: Check.

Coded: Check.

Watcher: Check.

Riese: Check.

Monika wasn't taught this yet so she didn't say anything.

Coded: In peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels, until our final journey to the ground. May we meet again.

Versuchen, Riese, Watcher: May we meet again.

I disconnected from the channel and closed my eyes thinking of the deaths that were going to be caused. The news was on on a TV behind me and I heard the reporter.

Reporter: Y/N "Versuchen" L/N has been spotted on security camera footage from Russian defectors.

The TV lit up with a feed of me in the room and I continued to override the coordinates of as many nukes as possible. I knew a Russian was coming up behind me so I turned around and fired a shot from my pistol. He was hit in the stomach and fell to the floor while I picked him up by his throat.

Versuchen: Посмотри, за что ты сражаешься! Вы боретесь за убийства! (Look at what you're fighting for! You're fighting for murders!)

I slammed his head into the keyboard and then hit launch with it. The live feed of the launch pad was streamed onto a screen in the room and I made the Russian watch it impact Moscow.

Russian: Сволочь! ЕБАНАЯ СУКА! Я, ЧЕРТ, УБЬЮ ТЕБЯ! (You bastard! FUCKING BITCH! I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT!)

I slammed his head into the corner of the desk again and ripped his mask off. I used the same blade that I used to kill Putin to kill this fucker and dropped his body to the floor. I got every nuke rerouted except the Berlin headed for Berlin and knew Monika was watching the news I made a heart with my hands before I left the room. The next camera turned blue to tell me that it was being operated, but I didn't care.

Versuchen: Sicherheit, Operation Executive Takedown is a fail. Germany will fall. We can't stop i-

Russian: Да пошли вы! (Fuck you!)

I got hit in the helmet with a pipe and pulled the blade I used to kill Putin. The Russian landed one more hit on me and I stabbed him 28 times in the abdomen before leaving. My radio was broken in our fight and I returned to base.

Monika: Y/N!

I kept walking and Monika ran up to me while grabbing my wrist. I broke free and kept walking.

Versuchen: I don't need you tell me that you're not happy. I already know.
