Chapter 19: Birthday

"Lonavla." - She asked while reading the nameplate of the place, He smiled while driving. In a few minutes, It started to rain. The rainwater splashed on the windscreens and the wiper cleared the view. He knew the best time to travel Lonavala, During Monsoon. The scenery wasn't clear. And it's was a serious silence between, They didn't speak but their hands were in contact. Neither she thought of taking it, Nor he tightened the grip and forced her palm to hold him. Everything is her choice. Completely her choice. 

He tried to be calm and composed as much he could, And Anika was surprised to see his calmness, He never been so calm even after she accepted his apologies. He either hug her or moves on as nothing happened, But this change. Is it for real?

"I never been to Lonavla." - She finally started. 

"I know, You never been to any other place in India other than Mumbai." - He replied almost in a second while heaving out the breath. 

That's not true. She had forcefully gone to many places around India to search her child Naina when she was kidnapped by her own family. That thought created a huge lump in her throat and created a huge pause for whatever she was thinking. And her future with him. She didn't speak anything, Neither he forced her. But then, They both heard Arush's crawling sound. 

"I think he's awake." - Anika said and took him from the baby seat and placed him in her lap. He slowed down the car. He started to snuggle and raised his hand upwards in the frustration. 

"Have we reached? I forgot to pack his food. I think he's hungry." - Anika asked shivaay. But he took the bag which was placed in the seat next to naina. He gave it to her. She was slightly taken back in surprise. 

"Have you packed on your own?" - She asked looking the sandwiches and baby food packed in the bags. 

"Yeah, It's already 3. We can't disturb chef in the early morning, Right." - He asked. 

"But where are we going?"- Anika asked, But her lips parted to a big 'O' when their car entered into a big mansion in the middle of the woods. She didn't expect there will be a mansion, She thought he's taking a short route to reach soon. But she's expecting something. It's a modern built mansion that looks like a smart house. There are a totally two floors. 

"Oh my god! Whose house is this?" - She asked, still in shock. 

"Ours. But actually, It's our kids, Naina and Arush. I bought it on Naina's 2nd birthday in her name, First." - He said. Her eyes widened in shock when she heard he bought it for naina. That too, On her birthday. 

"I know I had been a very bad dad. But I didn't forget to think about their future. I bought it for naina as an investment property from my actual savings. None knew about it."- He added. 

"Investment property. That too, On naina's name. That too, On her second birthday."- She asked him shockingly failing to believe it. He parked the car in the parking lot. He pointed the finger to the nameplate. It had the name, Naina resorts.

"Naina Resorts. STOP." - She asked him shockingly. 

"I was the dad who didn't express the love for them, But I never been a dad who didn't think about their future. I invested it on naina for her better future." - He said. And Anika glanced the nameplate again. They started their journey only before an hour, It will be almost impossible to change the nameplate and sculpting Naina's and Arush's embedded logo in the resorts. So he's saying the truth. It's for their kids.

"I still can't believe this. I thought you think Naina as a bad omen before 2 months." - She spoke, The words came out of shock and sudden surprise. His facial expression changed in a second.
