"She wanted me to give you this"

Lyndon is handing me an envelope, hindi niya sinabi kung kanino galing kaya medyo nagdadalawang isip ako kung tatanggapin ko ba. He has a sad smile plastered on his face as he pursed his lips in disappointment, it looks like he just heard a very bad news.

"Para saan?" I questioned while scanning the envelope.

"Just read it" he coldly replied.

I nodded then gave him a promising smile but there is something off about it kaya hindi ko muna binasa at nilapag ko lang sa desk ko. I called Ava because Alejandro's birthday is coming and I wanted to do something about it but anonymously.  I already talked to the club owner about don at dahil close friend ng family ko, hindi na kami nahirapan.

Few more days before his birthday and I didn't even come up with the right sentences and phrases to say, I wanted to clear and cool things between us kasi hindi ko na kinakaya yung guilt sa puso ko. I still didn't forget that I left him without an explanation and I know that it still confuses him, I cannot hide the fact na kapag magkasama kami I still felt the tension and pain nung gabing iniwan ko siya.

I was finishing a thesis nung bigla akong tinawagan ni Ava because the party needs where already settled pero yung cake na  nirequest namin is cancelled at kailangan namin maghanap ng ibang shop na gagawa. I called Lyndon dahil may restaurant sila and we can make changes para sa desired cake ni Alejandro, hindi kasi siya mahilig sa cake pero I saw him enjoying the cake in their restaurant.

"Lyndon can we meet?" I said when he picked up the phone.

[Sure, about what?] he asked.

"Alejandro's birthday" I shortly said while biting my lip to stop myself from talking more.

[Then?] he said.

"We need a cake and I was hoping that one of your restaurants can help us" I explained shortly.

[We need to set an appointment first] he commented.

"Do we have to? I thought you own the place?" I teased him.

[Lakas mo naman Mira, Edi ikaw kumausap dun sa gago kong step-dad] he said while I was shocked  at his response.

"Kala ko ba-" he cut me off.

[Long story, I'll set up an appointment tomorrow and I'll be there] he said in a monotone voice then ended the call.

After that I called Ava to check the club, I wore a blue cardigan top matching with denim shorts and white sneakers. I picked up Ava sa campus dahil kasama niya nanaman si Devan kaya di niya dala kotse niya.

"Ava Caily!" I shouted from the other side of the street and waving my hand.

"Amiera Shynne!" she shouted and waved back.

"Tara na, ang landi mo masyado" I glared at her and pursed my lips.

"Ngayon lang nga eh" she fired back and gave Devan a kiss on the cheek before walking away from him at sumakay na sa shotgun seat.

"Wow ha, may pakiss na?" I said with my disgusted face "kayo na ba?"

"Dami mong tanong" she murmured while putting on her red lipstick.

"Ay aba Ms. Fortaleza, baka nakakalimutan mong kaibigan mo ako" sabay batok sa kanya kaya napahawak siya sa ulo niya "Ano nga? spill the tea sis"
