Eight places her hand on his shoulder causing him to jump out of his skin with a loud gasp. She smiled at him as she looked back and forth from him and Delores and back again.

"That was a very nice speech. I'm sure she appreciated it," Eight whispered to sound sincere.

"How much did you hear?" He said looking at her with a guilty look.

"Enough for me to be curious about this mystery girl,"

"Oh, it's no one you would know," His hand made contact with his neck and he scratched it to distract himself from the hot flush rushing over him.

"Oh no? I wouldn't?" Eight teased as she saw a smile creep onto his face but turning sour quickly.

"Five? Five?" Her voice turned scared as his face looked more terrified than worried.

"Duck!" He shouted as he launched himself onto her to pull her to the ground. "Sorry," He mumbled sheepishly. She giggled in response before jumping him to another part of the store.

"I didn't think they would have found me this soon," He mumbled while in thought.

"Who? Oh wait- assassins?"

"Yes and thank you for reading my mind. It doesn't feel violating at all," Five added with heavy sarcasm.

"Sorry, but what are we going to do about them?" Eight became serious as she realised they had to actually do something about these assassins who there to kill them.

"Fight them," Five looked at her with a grin to which she mirrored and pulled out her knives before standing to face the shooters. When they notice her, they shoot in her direction but she pushes the rounds of bullets to the side with a simple wave of her hand.

"That's the girl the Handler warned us about, watch out for her!" A female voice sounded from one of the masks. She couldn't make out which one though. She felt a boost of confidence knowing that two grown adults have to be careful of her.

     Show time bitches.

One knife landed in the blue mask's foot and the other grazing the shoulder of the pink mask.

"Missed me little girl!" The pink mask taunted her, but Eight knew what she was doing. She was a trained assassin by the age of 12. Even of that's not how it was worded back then.

"Oh, I don't want you dead... yet," She laughed making the two adults share a glance at each other as if asking if they really want to do this.

"Just go home already idiots, your going to lose anyway," Eight teased them as she hid behind a clothing rack.

"She jumped! Let's go get them Hazel!" The female voice shouted at the person in the blue mask as they began to run down the isles.

After shots were fired, knives thrown, shins kicked and blood shed, the alarm's finally went off. Five and Eight were standing behind the counter, cornered. The masked adults looked outside to see red and blue lights flashing.

"Shit, we have to go," The one said as they looked back to see the children no longer there.

"We've got a problem Cha Cha, Those bastards jumped again," The one in the blue mask said causing the pink mask to let out an angry and frustrated groan as the picked up the briefcase and disappeared into thin air.

"That was a close one," A small, tired voice came from behind the counter followed by another.

"Let's get out of here Eight," Five grabbed her hand and she didn't fight the butterflies that were now flooding her stomach. She only recently felt this feeling whenever his hand was in hers. No one else's.

It was the next morning after the incident at Gimbel Brothers and the two of them, Eight and Five, were asleep in the living room. They crashed here as soon as they got back here and feel right into sleep. Trying not to get shot and die really does take a lot of energy.

Eight was already awake and sitting holding her knees close to her chest while lost in thought. She didn't even notice when a groan came from Five as he woke up.

"Good Morning... Eight? You okay?" He noticed her scared face as she sat tucked in on herself.

"Uh... yeah- I'm just- it's nothing, just a little thinking," She looked up at him from her gaze and smiled at him. Don't bullshit yourself Eight. A little thinking? A flashback is not a little thinking.

She shook her thoughts away before standing up and joining Five at the bar.

"Five! You're bleeding!" She rushed to his arm and saw a patch of blood on his shirt. "Take it off," She demanded him which caught him off guard.

"What! Oh- It's ok Eight, I can deal with it later," He looked at her with pleading eyes but she wasn't going to let this go.

"Nope. I'm going to grab the first aid kit and you better be ready when I come back- and don't run on me ok?" Eight said as Five reluctantly nodded.

She came back surprisingly fast and stitched him back up. She was a different person when he was hurt or in pain then just in general. He watched her concentrated face as she made sure to not hurt him too much and flinching everytime she thought she did something that might hurt.

He pulled a newly pressed uniform on, as to not use the same one as before and headed towards his room.

"Where are we going?" She asked stopping Five as they entered his room.

"There's a fire exit on my window, we can go that way," Five responded, motioning towards his window.

"Again, I ask where are we going?"

"Oh yeah the lab to watch the doctor. He's hiding something and I'm going to find out what it is," She agreed to go with him even though she really didn't have a choice.

It's stakeout time...
