Mingi

I watch as Wooyoung walks up to San with a small purple velvet cover box, not so small it could be a ring, but not as big as the one Yuyu and I gave him. As he hands it to San he whispers to him, and whatever he said made San smile and open the box with a sparkle in his eyes. He smiles and pulls out a hanging cross earring that has multiple chains attaching to a cuff.

"It's gorgeous, thank you baby," he says confidently, which shocks everyone, and causes Wooyoung to blush

"It's gorgeous, thank you baby," he says confidently, which shocks everyone, and causes Wooyoung to blush. I chuckle and I see noona hand him a small package, saying something to him quietly. San hugs her and goes to put things away quickly, putting the earring on and coming back out.

Everyone talks as we eat the pizza and cake, smiling, laughing and getting to know Haneul a bit more before San seems to look at her almost as if to make her quiet. She stays quiet after that and sighs, so I talk with her when everyone goes with Yuyu to find a game to play together.

"Why is he so quick to keep you quiet?" I ask her, and she just sighs.

"I've blown a few secrets before, and he doesn't like when I do that."

"I guess I can understand that, but what secrets does he hide from us that could be so bad? I mean we are all family now," I say, and she just shrugs.

"Our family isn't what you would call, normal. Our mom is a witch, and that's where we get our magic from, and my dad was human. He died when I was young, and it's something that none of us really talk about, but when our mom didn't remarry people were suspicious when she had San. Having a kid out of wedlock was a no no in our area, and so San lived with our grandparents." she explains.

We talk for a while, but then she drops a bomb, she looks at my shocked face and gasps. She knows San will be furious if he finds out and when he comes back she says her goodbyes, not wanting to be here when it spills. The problem is, I don't know how to explain it yet.

I sit down by Mingi and he seems a bit confused, so I touch his shoulder. He seems to smile and looks fine, but I can tell he's off, like he knows something.

"It's sad that she had to go," Wooyoung says and sighs. I agree, she didn't stay very long but at least she got to hang out for a while. They play a game of twister for a while, Jongho and I are referees, calling when someone falls or cheats. By the end it's San versus Yunho, and I can see that Wooyoung is staring at San, and Mingi is staring hard at Yunho's ass. I almost drop the spinner from laughing, but Jongho takes it, spinning it for San.

I watch as Yunho tips over, trying to reach for a spot much too far for him since San has taken all of those he could easily reach. We all cheer since it's one of the few times Yunho hasn't come in first.

After we are all happy and tired Yunho and Joongie clean up the kitchen before getting ready to sit with us to watch a movie. San chose earlier to watch a horror movie, and some of us aren't too excited.

Looking over at Mingi I can see that he isn't paying attention, he seems to be thinking about something. I sigh and Joongie sees how Mingi is acting too, which prompts him to look Mingi in the face. .

         "What's wrong Mingi?"

"It's nothing, or at least..." he stops and looks at San. As if he already knew I watch as San turns and walks away to his room, accepting that Mingi will tell everyone. Instead of telling us Mingi goes to talk with San, and we all sit quietly, listening.

San

I sit on my bed and sigh, not knowing what to do. What did she say? How much does he understand? My mind goes 90 miles per hour as I hear the door open. I look up to see Mingi coming into the room, he closes the door behind him and he sits next to me.

"Your noona told me about your family situation, how you were from different fathers. She also told me that's why you were with your grandparents as a kid." I just not as he talks and he looks at me.

"What else did she tell you?" I ask, and the way he looks at me tells me I didn't hide how much I hurt from this.

"She told me that you're a Nephilim, and that you try to hide it so people don't get scared." I sigh and look at the floor, it's true, if only in part. I look at him and before I talk I hear it again.

"Be careful, the others are listening."

I decide not to talk and sigh, looking up at Mingi. I want to talk to him, to tell him, but he will tell everyone, not because he means to, but because he can't keep a secret from the others. If I tell him and the others listen, then he doesn't have to tell, right? I think as I sit with him.

"You don't have to explain, it's okay." he tells me, giving me a hug and I just sigh. I let it be and Mingi leaves, sending Wooyoung in to talk to me. I lean on him and he hugs me, I can tell he doesn't know what to do.

"Why is it so bad to be Nephilim?" he asks and I sigh. Maybe it's okay to tell him, I should, shouldn't I? I think as I sit up.

"It's not me being Nephilim that scares people, Honestly I am closer to being something called a Cambion, then again I guess I am both..." I sigh not knowing what to say.

"Wait, Cambion, isn't that a half human, half demon? But you said you were a witch," he retorts and I nod.

"Well, my mother is a witch, and I gained some of that from her, but my father..." I take a deep breath.
