Chapter Five

[Hospital room]

~I rushed in my grandma's hospital room~
Me:"Grandma!!"-I sit next to her and hold her cold hand with a tear slowly sliding down my face.-
Grandma:"Hello my beautiful flower." -She smiled gently at me.-
Me:"Grandma are you okay? What happened!"-I turned over to my mom, still holding my grandma's hand, and my mom was crying.-
Mom:"Her Cancer came back and She got weaker at a point where it's hard for her to stand up, and we are not sure she'll be able to make it. She's to weak.."-She cry even more.-
Dad:"I'm sorry honey."*cry too*
Hyunjin:"I'll wait outside.. I think it's more a familial thing here so.."
Grandma:"Hyunjin you can stay my dear. It's okay! I'm happy to have visitors. Also, my daughter, stop crying! If I don't make it, I'll make it up there and be watching all of you with a proud smile on my face. Don't worry."
~My mom smiled gently.~
Me:"Where is auntie ?"
Mom:"She's coming.. she was at work.."
Me:"Oh okay."*look back at my grandma.*"I don't want to lose you grandma!"
Grandma:"Oh you won't lose me honey, I promise you. Oh and I have something for you. In my bag right there. It's in a little box."
Me:"This one?"*I took a little black box*
Her:"Yes!"
Me:"Okay-OHH"-I opened the box and saw a beautiful necklace. I noticed that my mom got the same and there was one for my aunt too.-

Me:"Thank you so much grandma!*sobs*"
Grandma:"I love you my flower!"
Me:"Me too.."
~ Then a doctor came in and told us to go out of the room for a few minutes and only my mom could stay in because she needed support. So me and Hyunjin decided to walk in the hallway and my dad stayed outside of the room.~
Hyunjin:"Do you want me to put the necklace on you?"
Me:"Okay.."*I blushed and sob*
Hyunjin:"Wow it looks beautiful on you."
Me:"Thank you..*I look down.*"
Hyunjin:"Hey.. it's okay. Everything will be fine.*Hug me* you know.. I lost my grandparents last year and you were there for me saying that everything will be fine."
Me:"I know but if she die.. my mom and my aunt will have no parents anymore.. remember that my grandpa died 3 years ago in his sleep?"
Hyunjin:"Yeah.. I'm sorry for you.. but what about your dad's parents?"
Me:"I barely see them.. I think the last time I saw them I was like...10 years old ?"
Hyunjin:"Okay so it's going to be 7 years that you haven't seen them?"
Me:"Yep..-"
~Suddenly I heard my dad calling us and we quickly walk back to the room in shock.~
Me:"Grandma??"
~My mom had her hands on her mouth ,shook and my dad had tears in his eyes.~
Me:"She's dead?"*cry harder*
The doctor:"I'm sorry but she's no longer in this world. My condolences. Take your time."
~he walks outside to leave us alone. All of us cried for more than an hour. My dad was comforting my mom and Hyunjin was comforting me..~

[Time skip: Funeral day]

~Today is my grandma's funeral.. and I need to wear a black outfit. I want to make my grandma proud. I have this dress that she gave me a year ago to wear at a funeral. I guess it was for hers. So I decided to put it and to make a bun with my hair and I'm wearing the necklace she gave me.~

~ and I have normal black small heels.~

~ I'm heading towards the car and I sit on the back seat. My dad is driving towards the church. I can't stop crying. That's why I didn't put makeup on. I know that my grandma wouldn't like to see me like this right now but it's hard not to cry.~

[Time skip: At the Cemetery]

~We did the ceremony at the church.. and now we are heading to the cemetery. I remember when I was little, those times where my grandma would give me candies and bring me to the mall when she was babysitting me.~

[Flashback: 8 years ago]

Grandma:"Hello beautiful flower!"
Me:"GRANDMA!!"
Mom:"Your grandma is going to watch over you today. I have to go to work and your dad too."
Me:"Oki mommy!"-I was looking at my grandma with a huge smile on my face. Every time I was passing a day with her we had so much fun. My grandpa was there too sometimes. But that day, he was playing bowling with his friends.-
Mom:"Have fun you two!"-She smiled at us and winked before closing the front door.-
Grandma:"Of course we are going to have fun!"-she smiled at me.-"Do you want to go to the mall?" -she smile-
Me:"YESS!!!"
Grandma:"Okay. Then go put on some clothes and then come back downstairs. I'll wait for you in the living room."
~When I was done dressing up, I joined her in the living room and before going to the mall, we stopped at the park and ate fast food for lunch at the mall before shopping. That day she bought me a toy..I think..~

[End of the Flashback]

~I'm crying so hard right now...I can't take it...I can't...~

[Back home]

Me:"Mom can I go at Yeji's place? I'm not hungry for dinner..and I feel like I need to see a friend.."
Mom:"Sure honey. See you later."
~I can hear the pain in her voice because I know she also need someone. My dad was working tonight and he couldn't cancel.~
Me:"You know what mom?"
Mom:"What?"
~She gently glanced back at me as she was standing near the kitchen's counter.I hugged her.~
Me:"I'll stay with you tonight. Let's have a movie night huh?"
Mom:"Okay." -She smile gently.-
Me:"Mom,Go take a bath to relax yourself and I'll order some sushi and put on our favorite movie!"
Mom:"Your so kind sweetie." *she kissed the top of my head.*
~For your Information I'm still smaller than my mom.~
Me:"It's because you and dad raised me!"
Mom:"haha true true. Okay I'll take a bath I'm coming after. Thank you honey."
Me:"your welcome mom."
