Finn's eyes slowly flutter open. The morning sun illuminates the room through the window. He takes in a deep breath before slowly releasing it through his nose. His head slowly rolls to the side, a lazy grin appearing on his face at the woman lying next to him.

Her face is away from him as she lays on her chest. The sheets are draped over her lower body, exposing her bareback. The familiar wild red hair sprawls along her back.

"Sage," He whispers, shifting onto his side. She groans tiredly, causing him to smile. He lifts his hand, delicately gliding his fingers along her spine. "I missed you so much," He whispers, burying his head into her hair, breathing in her sweet scent.

She shifts, lying on her side. Finn snakes an arm around her waist, pulling their chests together. He moves her hair and places innocent kisses along her neck. She sighs softly before rolling onto her back; he follows after her.

His lips leave her neck only to reconnect to her collarbone. Her fingers slide into his hair, massaging his scalp. A content smile spreads across his lips. He turns his head and rests it on her chest, his body relaxing on hers.

"I love you, Sage," He confesses. "You're all I have," He whispers.

"That's not true," She whispers back to him. His eyebrows instantly frown for the voice that replied to him does not belong to the woman he knew centuries ago. Slowly, he lifts his head and looks at her face for the first time.

The wild red hair is no longer laying across the pillows; instead, it's a soft blonde.

"Caroline," Finn whispers in disbelief. Caroline smiles, lifting her hand. He leans into her touch, his eyes pouring into hers.

"You have me," Caroline whispers, tracing his jawline with her fingers. "Just don't leave me," She pleads desperately.

"I won't," Finn answers without a second of hesitation. Caroline doesn't seem to believe him.

"Please don't leave me, Finn," Caroline begs.

"Caroline, I'm not going anywhere," Finn promises, wanting to lower his head towards hers but finding it impossible to do so. "I'll stay as long as you're mine. I'll stay for you, Caroline. I will,"

"Don't leave me, Finn... Please don't go," She whispers, but Finn can feel her fading.

"No, no," Finn whispers, shaking his head, feeling himself become frantic. "Caroline, I'll stay. You have my word; I won't go anywhere." Finn said frantically. "I'll stay here as long as you stay with me, I'll stay"

"Don't go... Don't leave me,"

"Caroline," Finn gasps, sitting up. His eyes dart around the room only to realize that he's alone. His shoulders slump; he's alone.

Desperation sets. Finn doesn't understand it, but he doesn't fight against it either. In a heartbeat, he is dressed. A moment later, the mansion is far behind him. He knew he didn't have much time, but he had to see her.

He doesn't dwell on the fact that he finds her effortlessly within minutes. All that matters is that he can see her, can hear her. Hell, he can smell her.
