"You've never had tequila before?" Sage asks, grabbing Finn's wrist. He feels the urge to pull away from her but fights against it.
"I've had a lot of different drinks," Finn admits with a shrug. "Couldn't tell you the names on any of them," Sage smirks, pouring salt onto his wrist. He watches as she licks the salt off of her own wrist and shoots the shot of tequila. Finn mimics her. "Happy now?" Sage continues to smirk and hands him a lime for him to suck. "I'm truly awed by the evolution of mankind,"
"Hey, Sage," A man greets in passing. Finn instantly scowls towards him. Sage smirks, returning his greeting. The young vampire nods towards Finn before scurrying away.
"Know him?" Finn asks, not bothering to hide the jealous tone. Sage gives him a smirk leaning over the table. She found the possessive look on his face sexy.
"I turned him," Sage says with a simple shrug. Finn looks at her for a moment finding it unsettling that she would just turn someone into a vampire.
"You turned him? Why?" Finn asks, tilting his head.
"Because I'm in enemy territory. When your brother and sister called, I thought I might need a little backup. You can't trust anyone here," Sage tells him. "Two more tequilas?" Sage orders.
"Yeah, cool, I'll let your waitress know," The guy says, walking away. Once he left, the two sat in uncomfortable silence.
"What's wrong?" Sage snapped. "Look, you left me. I had to do what I had to to survive. You don't get to judge me," Sage growled.
"You think I wanted to leave you?" Finn asks, glaring at her. "You think laying in a box with a dagger in my chest for most of the last millennium is my idea of fun?" He snarls. "I had every intention of spending the rest of my life with you when I turned you; I love you, Sage. Being separated from you is the worst thing that's happened to me," Sage's expression slowly softens. "Vampirism is a curse, Sage. You shouldn't be forcing humans to turn into vampires for your pleasure,"
"I never forced anybody," Sage tells him. "Turning Troy was for protection, not pleasure," She insists, but Finn scoffs.
"Please, turning Troy was foolish. What's a baby vampire going to do against my siblings?" Finn wonders. "He won't be able to protect you, you know that. So, why else would you turn him if not for your own pleasure?" He growls. "How many people have you turned?"
"I don't know," Sage answers honestly. "A lot. Stop judging me, Finn, you turned me,"
"My passion overtook my morals," Finn tells her.
"My passions overtake my morals on a daily basis. It's called living life to the fullest," Sage tells him.
"Killing people, taking their life away for the sake of living life to the fullest isn't something I can condone," Finn warns her. Sage slowly leans back in her seat.
"You're going to have to," Sage tells him. "I've lived my life like this for the last 900 years because it's what I had to do," Finn rolls his eyes.
"You don't have to kill people, you don't have to turn them," Finn tells her. "There's a choice; there's always a choice."
"Well, then I choose to live my life the way I want," Sage says sternly. "If you can't accept that, then you can't accept me," Fin clenches his jaw while staring at her. "I love you, Finn, but I've lived my life this long without you," Finn's jaw loosens as her words sink in. Sage sighs and leans across the table once more. "I'm not asking you to forsake your morals. I'm just asking you to accept me for who I am. You can live the rest of your life without killing a single human. You can live without turning anybody else but don't ask me to do the same," She reaches for his hand and holds it within hers. "You don't have to condone my actions; just look the other way. I want to make this work, Finn. I want you."
