"Arghhh!" daing ko habang hawak ko ang aking dibdib kung saan tinamaan ng baril ni Astrid, buti na lang at may suot akong bullet proof. I look in surroundings but there's no one and it's getting dark already because it's already late so I decided to get inside my car.
"Bastard kid!" I exclaimed while removing my bullet proof gently. Kahit naman hindi dumugo yung tama ay medyo masakit pa rin. I think I'm so wrong in the part that I belittle her in some ways, she's still a Legazpi. Bigla akong nauhaw at napagdesisyon bumili muna sa tindahan in tatang bago umalis, pumasok ako at ganun na lamang ang gulat sa mukha niya when he saw me.
"Okay lang po ba kayo tatang?" tanong ko at binigay na sa kanya ang dalawang bottled water pero tumango lang ito.
"Nakita niyo po ba ulit yung bata?" tanong ko ulit at tila nagdadalawang isip siya kung magsasalita ba siya o hindi. Masyado ko yata pinepressure si tatang kaya lumabas nalang ako pagkatapos ko bayaran ang binili ko.
I decided to go back at the head quarters when I'm already okay. I get surprise when I saw Noah inside tapping her fingers in the table endlessly.
"Bukas pa end of suspension mo ah bakit ka nandito?" tanong ko sabay lapag ng tubig sa table. He look at me immediately and grab my hand heading outside.
"Hoy teka lang saan tayo pupunta?" tanong ko sa kanya pero patuloy niya lang ako hinihila papunta sa Office ni Daddy? Binuksan niya agad at pumasok siya na hila hila niya pa rin ako.
"Sargeant Xhavia Garcia what are you doing?" Dad asked me afterwards.
"Standing?" I honestly answered.
"Tanga!" sigaw ni Noah at bigla ako binatukan.
"Aray ha! Bakit ka ba nambabatok diyan inaano ka ba?" inis na tanong ko sa kanya.
"Why are you following Gabriel's daughter?" Dad asked me. Bigla ako nanigas sa kinatatayuan ko dahil sa tanong niya, how did he know?
"Huwag kana mag maang-maangan" Noah second emotion.
"Paano niyo nalaman?" tanong ko na bigla naman nilang kinainis lalo.
"Someone reported you that you are following Gabriel's daughters when she recited your plate number" Dad replied.
"Who?" I asked innocently.
"The daughter herself" Noah answered. I remained silent afterwards.
"She called here hours ago that someone is following her when I asked what's the plate number, it's your name showed up" Noah added. Bitch kid! Lagot ka sakin talaga kapag nakita kita. Napagdesisyunan ko nalang na huwag sabihin na muntik na ako pataying ng batang iyon dahil wala din naman saysay at hindi maniniwala ang mga tao dahil bata nga siya.
"I just want her to be safe" pagpapaliwanag ko sa kanila pero lalo lang sila nagalit.
"It's her Father's obligation to protect her and not yours!" My Father exclaimed afterwards. I undestand his burst out but I don't even understand myself why I'm doing this. Sumosobra na siya.
"Pasalamat ka hindi siya nag file ng kaso sayo" sambit ni Noah at umupo. Wow? Ako dapat magsampa ng kaso sa batang yun eh, ako pa dito nagmukhang masama which all I want to do is to keep her safe.
"Edi salamat" sarkastikong sagot ko dito na ikinainis niya.
"Hayaan mo na, by the way tomorrow is your second assignment and I hope na hindi na kayo pumalpak this time" Dad mumbed and look to Noah afterwards. Buti nga sayo gago.
"Yes Dad, Noah narinig mo sabi ni Daddy?" I teased him.
"Oo hindi naman ako bingi" sagot niya na pabalang.
