Chapter 8: Searching

Xhavia's POV

I woke up with the sound of my phone, I immediately answer it without looking at the caller ID. I still  have my hangover so I pick up my phone with my eyes close.

"Hello?" sambit ko sa antok na boses.

"Don't tell me you just woke up Xhavia" I open my eyes instantly after hearing my Father's voice. I tap my forehead realizing may meeting pala kami ngayon tungkol doon sa bagong open na case. Ang tanga naman Xhavia.

"Ah no Dad. I just done shower, I'm on my way there. Bye love you" I hang up the call afterwards. Bumangon na ako sa kama at muntik pa ako matumba dahil sa pagkahilo, naglakad ako papuntang kitchen at naghanap ng gamot sa cabinet.

"Advil nasaan kana tuwing kailangan kita?" I talked to myself and still searching for the medicine. There's no advil in the cabinet so sinubukan ko sa fridge and gotcha! Thanks God, ininom ko na kaagad ang gamot para mabawasan ang sakit ng ulo ko.

I decided to drink last night because I really can't find where Astrid went, I tried to spy in their mansion but to my dismay she's not there. Nasaan kaya siya pagkatapos niya akong pagtangkaang patayin noong gabing iyon? Hate is already forming in my mind after what happened, all I want is her safety tapos papatayin niya pa ako? I didn't kill her Mother for pete's sake but I can't tell also who did it.

I'm on my way to the HQ after I fixed myself, I'm sure they're already in the middle of discussing about the case tapos ito ako late na naman. Hindi na kasi ako makasabay kay Noah dahil bumalik na ako sa sarili kong bahay, I want my privacy. 

"You're late" sabi sa akin ni Dad pagkadating ko sa office.

"I'm sorry medyo traffic" pagsisinungaling ko, alangan naman sabihin ko na dahil sa hangover edi baka lalo pa ako pagalitan. He jsut nodded for response at nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita sa harap.

"So as I was saying there is a new open case that like Triad, they're also killing people who have influence and power in our country. They are called Russian Assassination Group or RAG, nandito lang sila sa Pilipinas pero hindi pa matunton kung saan ang hideout nila." he explain continuously.

"Sir do we have an idea kung ilan sila? I mean their assassins so ma trace namin kung paano sila hanapin" Leo asked. Matalino talaga tong si Leo pero hindi ko alam bakit wala pang asawa to he's like 27 already.

"As of now isang assassin palang ang nababalitaan namin, she is called Rising Demon. Mahirap siyang tuntunin dahil according to FBI naka mask ito lagi kapag pumapatay ng mga politicians at mabilis ang galaw" he replied. Babae si Rising Demon? Interesting.

"Aww chix pala" pabirong lintaya ni Echo, babaera talaga.

"Chix na papatayin ka mamaya babae mo pala yan" Noah joked him but he just chuckled.

"Enough. So sa ngayon maghanap na kayo ng mga impormasyon about the RAG para matapos na to and we can proceed to the Triad" Dad said firmly. Naalala ko na naman si Astrid, nasaan kaya siya? I just shook my head to remove my thoughts.

The meeting is already dismiss and we decided to go back in the HQ to do some research about the RAG. I wonder if how they do their transaction at hindi namin mahuli huli sa tracing. Nakaka stress naman tong trabaho ko pero kailangan dahil sa legacy. Kinuha ko na lang ang phone ko at tinawagan si Margaux.

"Hello? Kamusta ka diyan?" nabanggit niya kasi sa akin na hindi muna kami makakapagkita dahil busy sya sa school works.

"Yes, medyo mahirap pero kaya naman. I'm fine here Xhavy don't worry, how about you kamusta ka diyan?" I really don't like it when she call me Xhavy but I can't do anything so I just let her be.
