Chapter 27

The girl groaned as she turned over in bed, stuffing her face in the pillow-it smelled different. Fluttering her eye open-her other eye tightly shut on instinct-and turning her head, she slowly took in her surroundings-which was currently only the roof.
What a crusty roof... Someone needs to fix that.
Moving to a sitting position, she looked around the scattered room. Tendou lay sprawled on his bed snoring away, Ushijima-on the other hand-was no where to be found until (Y/n) looked down next to her, he lay leaned against her thigh; hair sprawled all over the place, his chest slowly rising and falling and arms against his chest-making her wonder if he was snuggling her when she was asleep. A blush creeped onto the girls face as she watched the giant stir in his sleep before his eyes slowly open, a yawn escaping his mouth. His mouth. The girl looks away hurridly.
"Smiley." The giant moans, his voice low and gravely. He reaches for the girls hand and squeezes it gently, making the girl blush more but look back briefly. "Sorry." He groans, using his other hand to sweep back his unruly hair. "I really didn't want to sleep on the floor or next to Tendou."
"Its fine.." The girl mumbles, looking down to her hand which was covered by Ushijimas. "I understand."
"What time is it?"
"Looking out the window, probably just hit seven."
"I'm need to wake up Tendou and get ready for our run. You want to join us?"
The girl rubs her eye with her free hand. "Sure." She yawns. "I need to get  my stuff though."

Pulling on some black spandex shorts and a black and white Jersey with her last name embroidered on the back in bold letters-her (h/c) hair up-she walked back to the boys dorm and knocked on the door. The familiar scent of sweat and colonge hit her as Ushijima opened the door. "You ready?"
"We're waiting on Tendou. Hes in bathroom getting changed."
"Does he take long?" The girl asked hopefully.
The giant shrugs. "Depends if hes in the mood or not."
"And is he in the mood today?"
"Not really."
"Great."
"Lets just go already.." Like on cue, Tendou came hunched over, trotting past the both of them; pushing them out the way.
The girl pokes her tongue out. "Meanie."

Despite Tendous whining and Ushijimas constant sighing, all (Y/n) could think about was when Ushijima took her hand and held it in his own in the morning. A warm sting of happiness spread throughout her.
"Oi, (Y/n)-chan, does it hurt?"
"Does what hurt?"
He points to her prosthetic legs. "Those, do they hurt?"
The warm serge of heat disapears as she looks down to her 'legs.' A surge of pain and sorrow spread through her. "No." She says, "not really."
Tendou frowns. "Sorry." He murmurs.
"Its fine." (Y/n) says with smile, a soft, gentle smile. "You were curious, if i was in your shoes i would be also."
