The girl woke up in a fairly good mood the next day. Sliding into black tights, pulling over a light grey, loose singlet, and pulling her (h/c) hair up, she started her morning jog with a jump in her step. Soon Ushijima and Tendou joined her and (Y/n) slowed to a walking pace, unexpectedly Ushijima grabbed the girls hand, making both Tendou and (Y/n) jump but soon smile-atleast (Y/n) was smiling, Tendou was practically jumping up and down with excitement.
"Morning Smiley." The giant said with a small smile only the girl noticed.
"Morning Toshi."
"Im. So. Damn. HAPPY!" Tendou was doing a little dance by the time the girl turned to look at him. She giggled softly, making the giant smile.
"Now! Now! Now! I have a question!" He cheered. "Are you two dating!?"
A light fade of pink sprung on the girls cheeks as she looked up at the giant. As always he was able to read her like a book, a smile spread across his face. "Yes." He said confidently. "We are."
(Y/n)s chest hurt as she sat tapping her foot by the bench. Coach went off to do his own thing while the (Y/n) sat anxiously awaiting Oikawa and Iwazumis arrival. How would they react to how she looks now? Would they look away? Would they accept her? Only time would tell.
"Whats wrong Smiley?" Word went around fast about Ushijima and (Y/n)s relationship-probably because of Tendou-so it made things a lot less awkward when they went to tell them.
"Im fine." The girl muttered with a smile as the giant brang her hand to his lips. "Just nervous."
"Nervous? How?"
"Im scared how they will react to the new.. me." The girl confessed, clutching her boyfriends hand. "With everything that has happened. With how i look now. I guess you could say im little self conscious."
The giant leans over and kisses her forehead. "Theres really nothing to be self conscious about. You're perfect."
The girl giggles. "Don't lie." She says, wrapping her arms around the giant; digging her head in his chest. "We both know thats not true."
"As if." The giant gives the girl one of his rare grins. She breathes in his scent of sweat and deoderant with a smile, it was a scent she craved when next to him.
"I love you." She murmures into his chest.
"I love you too." He whispers back. Kissing her head.
