— lucifer's pov

I step out in the balcony and breathe in the night of Paris. This city is really magnificent, it's rich in everything. Tonight is our last night in France and we are definitely heading back to LA, first thing tomorrow morning. My beautiful detective is dressing up, we're going to watch an opera tonight.

The past week has been the best week of my existence. The trip is amazing and Chloe and I loved every second of it. I wanted to give her more, I wanted to give her the world but sadly I can only show her Europe in one week. That's it then, I'll marry her again and then we'll go on another honeymoon. That'd be lovely.

"Lucifer, let's go." I heard my wife call me, I turned around and my mouth is hanging. I probably look like Chloe when we landed in France. She really thought we were going home. "Paris, France? We are in Paris?" She said, failing to hide her surprise. "Yes detective, we are in Paris. Now would you like for us to move along so that we can eat breakfast like french people and visit the Eiffel tower?" I was really excited to eat croissants.

We visited the said tower the next day and I'll never forget the look on her face, the awe and love she had for this place. "I always wanted to visit Paris." She whispered while admiring the city from an overlooking view. I smiled at her. It's a real pain in the ass to not know what she really desires, it's all on me to figure it out but I guess I like it that way. It's heartwarming to hear her say the things she dreams of, to hear her say what she really wants.

I love her so much.

"Lucifer, come on. We're going to be late." She said, distracting me from my reverie. I can't take my eyes off of her. She looks stunning. She's wearing a dress, a black one and her hair is pinned up just like at our wedding. She's wearing the new pair of earrings I gave her, the bullet necklace and her engagement and wedding ring adorn her finger. "Right, yes of course." I said, grabbing my coat.

The opera was amazing, it's been a while since I've seen one. Chloe enjoyed it obviously, it's evident in her wide smile.

We walk hand in hand while walking down the grand stairs of the opera house and I asked her what she wanted to do on our last night. She wanted to ditch the cab and just wander around the city like teenagers.

I smiled at her and bent down, undoing the shoelaces of her ankle boots. "What are you doing?" She asked, trying to stifle her giggle. "You won't be needing this anymore, detective. We're going to run around the city and I'm sure you're going to hurt your feet with these." I said.

I stood up and intertwined my fingers with her, my other hand holding her shoes. We stood there at the bottom of the grand stairs of Palais Garnier, holding hands and in love. I lean in and kiss her quick in the lips. "Come on detective, Paris is waiting for us."

We ran through the streets and we probably look crazy. I guess that's what love does to you, it makes you do crazy things. Our feet led us to a park near the Eiffel tower. A bike rental was nearby and Chloe dragged me there.

"Come on please, it will be fun." She pleaded, her blue eyes widening. "I am going to be honest with you darling, I have no idea how to ride one." I said. It's true, I don't know how to ride a bike. "I'll teach you then." She smiled. "Alright alright, if I get into trouble, you'll get to play nurse, deal?" I said, smirking at her. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "Alright, shut up."

"Okay, so the first thing you need to do is grip the handles. This one is the brake." She said, guiding my hands into their proper places. "Next, put your right foot on this pedal," I do what I'm told and pedalled. The next thing I knew, I'm doing my best to maintain my balance and riding a bike, until I crashed to a lamppost.
