3 weeks after the honeymoon

The bright rays of the the blinding sun seeped through the curtains of our bedroom window, causing me to yawn out loud and wake up. I turned and pat the space next to me and noticed that Lucifer already left the bed. I checked the clock on my phone and it says 7:45 am. I am going to be late again and so is Trixie.

A week after our honeymoon, Lucifer and I bought a house in a lovely neighborhood. Lucifer asked help from a realtor, Adrianna who has a striking resemblance to Linda. When I first met her, Linda's face flashed in my mind. She's very lovely and friendly. I like her.

The house is beautiful. It is simple yet elegant as Lucifer would say. It's a nice place to build a family and a home. It has four bedrooms, the master bedroom is the biggest of all four. It has a king sized bed and the mattress is pure heaven. I could sleep in it all day. Also, it has a balcony. We love drinking wine there, it's always peaceful and calm. And yes, our bedroom is soundproof, couldn't risk our neighbors calling the cops everytime I scream Lucifer's name.

Lucifer insisted that we should have a walk in closet and we have. Half of the closet contains all of his suits and I swear I could get lost in his side of the closet. He owns about six to ten pairs of Louis Vuitton leather shoes, the one with the red soles.

As for my side, it's the usual jackets and blazers, my pairs of jeans folded on one side of the closet and of course, my different pairs of ankle boots on the other side.

The other night, Lucifer said the walk in closet is his favorite part of the house, aside from the kitchen.

Speaking of kitchen, it has to be one of the coziest part of the house. I suggested that we should make it homey and Lucifer loved it. He's the one who usually cooks and we are guaranteed to have satisfied bellies after meals. If he cooks, I will clean but in the end, he still helps in cleaning up like the domestic devil that he is.

After dinner, we spend at least an hour or two watching a movie with Trixie. Trixie loves the house, especially her room. She has a big window and it shows a magnificent view of LA. Her stepfather loves spoiling her. When she said she needed a laptop to work on her homeworks and projects, Lucifer bought her the latest Mac, with conditions of course.

I went downstairs for breakfast and I am greeted by the sight of my husband cooking and my daughter is at the kitchen island, finishing up her cup of chocolate milk. She gets up and takes her plate into the sink. "Hey Mom." Trixie smiled. I walked towards her and greeted her. "Good morning monkey." I smiled and kissed her temple. "I'm gonna go, the bus will be here soon." She said and marched upstairs.

I wrap my arms around my husband as he's busy with cooking omelette. "Good morning detective." He said. "Good morning." I sleepily said. "Would you like to stay in? You sound tired darling." He said, turning off the stove and faces me. "No, I'm good. There's a lot of paperwork that needs to be done." I replied. "Can I interest you into some breakfast then?" He said and I instantly make that 'I would love to but I think I'm going to vomit soon' kind of face. "You know I think you should eat more, there is a baby growing inside of you and it consumes about half of what you eat." He sighed, setting down the plate of omelette on the breakfast bar.

He's right, a baby is growing right inside of me. "Speaking of baby, I have an appointment later, you're coming with me right?" I said. "Of course love, same time?" He asked and sat down on one of the stools. I did the same and started to eat my breakfast. I nodded in response as he passes me my cup of coffee.

After our breakfast, we showered and dressed and went on our day. When we got back, we solved about six cases and haven't organized some of the paperwork. The lieutenant checks on me once a week and he's starting to suggest a pregnancy leave. Everytime he mentions it, I always turn it down. I just think it is too early, I'm only on my first trimester and my bump is not that really big.
