I can't help but smile as we head into the American girl store, Taylor and Charlotte's faces are shining like little Christmas trees and Kirstie looks like a little girl again, "did you know you can get dolls here who look just like you?" She asks the girls. Charlotte's mouth drops open and Kirstie takes them to a section of dolls, Taylor giggles suddenly and points to a boy doll, "that one looks like you Mitchie" she says happily. I chuckle, the doll does look surprisingly like me. I smile and we head over to find Charlotte and Kirstie, they've found a doll that looks just like the girls. Long brown hair, brown eyes, slightly tanned skin and freckles. Charlotte is so excited, Taylor stares at the doll in awe. Kirstie smiles at their faces, "are you girls going to get this doll?" She asks them. Both girls nod and Kirstie puts two of the dolls into the cart, Charlotte throws her arms around Kirstie's waist and they have the biggest hug. "Thank you mommy!" She squeals, Kirstie hugs her back. "You deserve it baby, we get to go and pick out some outfits and accessories now" she says happily.

Charlotte and Taylor clap their tiny hands in excitement and Kirstie takes us upstairs to where the outfits and accessories are. She let's the girls pick out loads of stuff, Charlotte is so happy when she finds an asthma and allergy kit for their dolls. She also finds a diabetic care kit for her doll, Taylor is delighted to find a cheerleading outfit and accessories for her doll. When we've finally finished we head to pay, the staff are so sweet to the girls. They even take the dolls out of their boxes so that the girls can carry them, Charlotte and Taylor beam at them and we head out. Kirstie wants to make a quick stop at a nearby crafts store, she wants to get some of those colourful clear tubs to put the dolls shoes, clothes and accessories in. As we drive the girls admire their dolls, "what are you going to name your dolls?" Kirstie asks them. Charlotte smiles "Adelaide and Marianne" she says happily, I grin. Those are their middle names. When we get to the crafts store Kirstie leads the way to the storage area, they have an array of different colours. Taylor picks three turquoise tubs and Charlotte picks out three pink ones. When we've got everything we pay and head home.

We help the girls take their new stuff up to their rooms and hang out with them as they start to unpack and sort their new accessories, Charlotte brought glasses for her doll and she's happily arranging them in her accessories box. I love seeing the girls so happy and I know Kirstie does too, she's currently messaging her mom in Texas. Every few months we have a week off in the clinic and we head up to see our families, I take a road trip with Scott and Kirstie and we head up to Texas. That trip is scheduled to happen on Monday but I'm not sure what Kirstie is planning to do with the girls, "hey kirst what are we going to do with the girls when we go to texas on Monday?" I ask her. She smiles "my family knows about them, we're taking them with us" she says happily. I smile and we watch the girls sorting their clothes, Charlotte is searching through her clothes for a particular outfit. She smiles when she pulls it out, a cute pale pink dress and flat shoes. She gently undresses her doll and puts her into the new outfit, she slides the pink jacket her doll came with over the top of the dress and I smile.

Kirstie smiles at a text from her mom and calls the girls over, they come and sit on the bed with us. Kirstie explains that we're going on a trip to Texas and they will meet our families, both girls seem really excited. "Can we take our dolls?" Charlotte asks her, Kirstie giggles "of course you can baby I'm not going to make you leave them here" she chuckles. Charlotte and Taylor smile and go back to playing with their dolls, they are so happy. Charlotte sits her doll down next to her and starts going through her clothes box to find what she wants to take to Texas, Kirstie got each of the girls a special travel bag for their dolls so that they could carry their clothes and stuff with them easily.

Charlotte picks out some cute jean look leggings, a pretty white top with cats on it, pink and white polka dot trainers with blue laces and a pink hoodie. She lays it out on the floor next to her, when she's done that she sorts through the other clothes and picks out seven outfits. She chooses a star print dress and pink slip ons, a long sleeved turquoise and floral print dress with grey tights, brown boots and a purple scarf, a white t shirt with a little panda graphic with a pink and purple tutu skirt, pink leggings and cat print trainers, a blue top with a bow with a floral print skirt and sparkly flats, a cute blue and pink tie dye pinafore with a white t shirt and pink metallic boots, a bright pink pinafore dress with a white and blue t shirt with a little rainbow motif and white trainers with little rainbow stripes and a white dress with red and blue bows with a short sleeved blue cardigan and white socks and little red shoes. She lays them all out and picks out three pairs of pyjamas, a short pink pair with little food decorations, a cute pink and blue space themed pair and a cute blue themed camping pair. When she's done picking her outfits she neatly packs them up in the case and goes into her accessories box, Charlotte and Taylor both got a pair of matching backpacks for them and their dolls. Charlotte packs her doll's toothbrush, toothpaste and other toiletries into a little clear pink bag and puts it into the little travel bag. She then works on packing up her doll's backpack with little doll books and stationery and cute little magazines, she also has a cute notebook for her doll and some headphones and a little phone.

When she's done with the backpack she sets it aside with what I think is her doll's travel outfit and packs her doll's glasses, asthma and allergy kit and diabetic kit into her travel bag. When she's done she smiles and just cuddles her doll, she's put her turquoise glasses on her doll and she looks really cute. Taylor looks a bit confused on what to pack, she crawls over to Charlotte and does her little eye communication thing. Charlotte giggles and helps Taylor pack her stuff for her doll. Kirstie giggles, "you know you have to pack for yourselves right?" She asks them, Charlotte and Taylor nod and help each other sort their stuff. They are sorted in no time, when they're done they go back to playing with their dolls. Taylor brings out her cheerleading stuff and Charlotte finds the ballet outfit and accessories, they both sit on the floor happily murmuring to their dolls.
