I wake up before everyone the next morning, I smile and sneak downstairs to make my favourite breakfast for everyone. I'm making pancakes so I double check all of the allergens before laying out the ingredients, I'm about to start making the pancakes when I spot a tiny little figure at the door. It's Charlotte, "hi beautiful wanna help me make some pancakes?" I ask. She nods and I sit her on the countertop, she enjoys helping me. When we've finished I turn our little bluetooth speaker volume up and play Pentatonix's "On My Way Home" very loudly, I can hear Gracie and Taylor laughing and the rest of my family drag themselves downstairs. I chuckle and shut the music off, "these pancakes aren't going to eat themselves" I laugh. My family chuckle and we tuck in to the pancakes, Charlotte eats hers happily but I can hear her breathing is very shaky. After a few minutes she starts coughing and can't stop, she runs out of the room to avoid annoying everyone and I run after her.

I find her in the hallway on the floor, she's bright red in the face and gasping for every breath. "Baby come here and we'll go get your inhaler" I say gently, Charlotte crawls over to me and I carry her upstairs. I quickly set up her inhaler and get her sorted out, when she's done I give her a cuddle and we head back downstairs. "Hey mom what are we gonna do today?" I ask, she smiles "I thought we could go shopping with Gracie and my new little granddaughters" she says happily. We all grin and Gracie runs upstairs with the twins to get ready, I smile and help my mom with the washing up before heading up to get ready. Charlotte is looking super cute in a pink sparkly tutu with a cute white and pink t shirt and pink slip on trainers, she's currently brushing her doll's hair. She's dressed her doll in her pink pinafore outfit with the white trainers with the rainbow stripes, her doll is wearing some cute rose gold glasses and her little backpack. Taylor looks adorable in a stripy rainbow top, short dungarees and her light up trainers. Gracie looks gorgeous in a black pinafore and galaxy patterned t shirt with white socks and black and white converse, I smile and Taylor quickly dresses her doll and we all head back downstairs. My mom is ready so we all get into the car and get ready to go, Gracie is particularly excited because she has $250 dollars for getting straight A's on her end of year report card. "Mommy can we listen to some music?" Taylor pipes up, I smile and hand my phone to the girls. They giggle and we enjoy some music, the girls are having a backseat disco party and I've never seen the twins happier.

When we get to the shopping district we get parked up and head into the main shopping area, Gracie carries Charlotte on her shoulders and Taylor holds onto Gracie's hand and skips along beside her. I'm chatting with my mom when Gracie stops dead and squeals in delight, I chuckle when I see what she's so excited over. Gracie messaged me a few months ago saying they were going to build an our generation outlet in the shopping centre, it's now open and she's so excited. Our generation is a brand very similar to American girl and all of their clothes and accessories fit American girl dolls, "Mom Kirstie please can we go and look?" She begs. We nod and the girls go skipping inside, the store only just opened today and we seem to be the first customers. The owner of the store smiles and comes over to us, "hey girls! Before you go and look around I just want to let you know that because we've just opened we are doing a special opening day offer. You can fill up a big box of clothes and a big box of accessories for the generous price of $15 for two boxes" she says happily. All three girls gasp and Gracie smiles, "sis before you say anything these are my two nieces and I'm allowed to spoil them so I'm paying for them to be able to do that. It's my money but I can't spend $250 dollars on just me so I'm treating them" she giggles. I hold my hands up in surrender and the twins attack Gracie with hugs and thank yous, the shop owner shows the girls around and they are in heaven picking out clothes and accessories for their dolls. Charlotte is thrilled to find a big tub of doll sized stationery, she loves the backpacks as well. When the girls are finally done filling their boxes Gracie pays, "oh before you head out I wanted to let you know an American girl outlet has also just opened in the next street next to mydollsboutique and they are also doing the same offer" the owner explains. Gracie squeals and thanks the owner, the twins also thank the owner and we head out. Gracie leads the way to the next street it's so warm and sunny outside, I trust Gracie to look after the girls whilst I sit outside with my mom. Charlotte peeks out of the door every so often to see if I'm still there, when they are done they drop their bags off with us and head to the other dolls store.

After around ten minutes Charlotte comes wandering out of the store, she wanders over to me and taps her chest. I smile and give her a puff of her inhaler, it helps and she heads back in. The girls come out a few minutes later, I chuckle "good shopping haul Gracie?" I ask. She nods and we head off down the street, I'm determined to get the twins some little presents and I get my chance when Gracie asks to go to Claire's. We nod and head a little further up the high street to the shop, I love Claire's. It's full of cute little accessories and toys, Gracie is in heaven when she finds a new space themed range. She loves anything to do with space or physics, that's why I gave her the nickname "Spacey Gracie" when she was little. I call the twins over and hand them each $40 dollars, both girls give me a big hug and a thank you before going to have a look around. I head over to find Gracie and burst out laughing, "did a galaxy throw up in your basket?" I ask her. She rolls her eyes at me and I giggle, her basket is full of galaxy patterned stationery, a galaxy patterned water bottle, galaxy patterned scrunchies and a bunch of other stuff. I smile and go to find the twins, Taylor is with my mom and she's waiting in queue. Charlotte is looking sad, "what's up baby?" I ask. Charlotte points to a super cute little backpack "I can't reach" she whimpers, I chuckle and pick her up so she can reach it. She smiles and grabs it, I set her back down and she shows me the other stuff she's found. She's found a cute pair of cat ears, some cute glasses and a four way friendship necklace. I smile and take her to pay, when we're done we head outside and sit down. Gracie runs off to the ice cream van and comes back with three chocolate dipped cones and two chocolate dipped tubs, she hands the tubs to the girls and hands me and mom a cone each. We all munch happily, when we're done Charlotte grabs the necklace she brought and hands one to me, one to Gracie and one to Taylor. We all smile and put them on before wandering around the shops again, I take Gracie to New Look, forever 21 and a few more clothes stores for some special girls time whilst my mom takes the twins to the big play area at the top of the mall. I'm in the new look changing rooms with Gracie when my phone rings, it's my mom. I slide the answer call button and immediately hear Taylor's excited little voice.

Taylor: mommy mommy guess what!

Kirstie: what baby girl?

Taylor: I did my first somersault! It was so cool!

Kirstie: Oh baby I'm so proud of you! I'll be coming over with Gracie in a few minutes we're just trying on some clothes then we'll come over to the play area.

Taylor: Okay mommy! I love you!

Kirstie: love you too baby girl!

I smile as Gracie comes out in a gorgeous black skater dress and blue denim waistcoat with silver stars, black tights and some gorgeous black leather boots with studs and a quilted design, she gives me a twirl and I clap my hands "my gorgeous little sis!" I giggle. She beams at me and I take a few photos, "can I post these to Instagram?" I ask. She nods and I open instagram, I gather the photos I've taken of Gracie and post them with the caption:

"Look at my gorgeous little sis looking all grown up! Having a bit of girl's time today, love you @spacey_gracie10 💗🌌💕"

Gracie smiles and gives me a cuddle, "can I get changed into this after we've paid?" She asks. I nod and she tries on the rest of her outfits, when she's done we pay and head down to the girls bathroom so that Gracie can get changed. She looks so gorgeous, I feel so proud walking through the mall with her. A boy around her age stops and looks her up and down, "science geek" he sneers. Gracie's face falls and the boy laughs as he walks off, my heart breaks at Gracie's face and I run after the boy. I grab him by the arm and he turns around, "You dare say anything unkind or hurtful to my little sister again and I will hunt you down and slap you stupid you little twerp" I yell at him. He looks slightly terrified when I let go of his arm and he runs off, I go back to Gracie. She's sat on a bench with tears streaming down her cheeks, I sit next to her and put an arm around her. "Don't listen to him gorgeous, you're amazing and smart and so beautiful you're not a geek" I say gently, Gracie gives me a hug and I kiss her forehead. We smile and keep walking to the play area, when we get there I can see Taylor bouncing around and her giggles are very loud. Charlotte is sat on a little swing talking to her doll, I sneak over and put my hands over her eyes. "Hi beautiful" I giggle, Charlotte giggles and I cuddle her "hi mommy!" She chuckles, I kiss her nose and turn to the play place "hey Taylor baby come and show me your somersault" I call.

Taylor comes running out of the play area and gives me a hug, I smile and she does a somersault. I clap and pick her up, "clever girl!" I cheer. Taylor giggles but looks over at Gracie, she's sat curled up on a bench with a sad look on her face. I set Taylor down and she goes over to Gracie, I smile as I watch Gracie cheer up until Taylor has her giggling...
