"Wait, Genos! This isn't what it looks like!" I try to reason with him but his face tells me that he knows enough. With my arms around Garou and me assisting him to hide, of course he'll misunderstand. "I always knew there's a traitor in our organization. I never thought it would be you, doctor," with a poker face, Genos aims his hand-canons and us. "I'll incinerate both of you," he says and his canons blow. The light and heat come fast towards us. Garou quickly embraces me tightly and leaps away to safety. "Garou, don't fight him. You'll die. Let's run," again, I plead him to run away like before he fought the 8 heroes. Garou glances at Genos and then back at me. His eyes look at me gently. "I can't. He wants me. So you go and run away first. I'll come later," he says. His voice is gentler than the breeze going through the strands of my hair. "No... please don't," I plead and hold his hands tightly as he slowly moves away from me. "Go," he says with a smile and goes to fight Genos.

He just finished a fight against 8 heroes and now, he's in a fight with an S-Class heroes. Please give him a break! He's had enough!

Just when Garou manages to bury Genos, Genos sends a fiery blow directly towards him but he's able to dodge with just a thread difference. Genos stands up straight again without a second to waste. Noticing his opponent is far more powerful than the 8 heroes he fought before, Garou rips his bandages from restricting his movements, only to reveal is perfectly toned abs which almost sends me into cardiogenic shock (due to heart problems)-- which is not the reaction I should've had when I should just be worried and not turned on by this.

Just when I thought I'm either going to have a heart attack or a nose bleed, I remembered that Heroes are given a device to contact S-Class Heroes if they are in need of assistance. So that's how Genos knew we were here. I glance at Garou who glances at me at the same time. "Run," I mutter to him.

He turns around and crouches.

It's safer if he runs away.

But Garou starts moving at a higher speed by moving at all fours. He steals a hand from Genos but just when we thought he got the upper hand, Genos surprises us by choking him back with the same hand and ties him to a tree.

Garou is fighting to the death.

I should do the same.

I place my hands on the ground and starts healing all the 8 heroes--- but I silently let a bit of my power flow to the tree that Garou is tied to. Please... live!

*BAM*

The tree breaks in half right when Genos is about to incinerate him--like he did to all his opponents.

Garou laughs like a maniac. His white greyish hair is now tainted with his blood.

"Mortal Angel--- why are you here?" Silverfang suddenly appear from behind me. "Oh, I'm...," I'm hesitant to answer. If I tell him the truth that I was with Garou, would he think I'm an accomplice like Genos did? But if I lie and tell him that I'm summoned here like Genos, then Genos would go against me since he had witnessed me helping Garou.

"Garou saved me," I say. Silverfang doesn't look shocked but he looks curious so I told him the whole story from when I was summoned to the city to heal all heroes to being eaten by a monster centipede to being saved by Garou and ending up here at the warehouse. "I've always known that child is never evil. He's not a villain by heart," he sighs of relief and assists me to sit down along with the injured heroes.

"Rest well, child. I'll handle him," he says. "Wait!" I hold him back. "Genos has this misunderstanding that I'm Garou's accomplice. Can you clear that for me? He doesn't want to listen to me," I say. Silverfang nods. Another old man appears who seems to be older than him. "Are you two going to kill Garou?" I ask worriedly. They look at each other but don't answer. "Can you please not kill him?" I beg.

"Hn? Why so?" he asks. "He... He... I care for him," I shyly answers. "Me too kid. Me too," Silverfang replies and shoots into action.

While Silverfang takes Garou into whooping like a father would to his son, Genos goes over to me. "Silverfang has told me everything. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding," he bows politely. He then brings out a small pack of lunch. "Child Emperor asked me to send this to you," he says. "Thank you..," I accept it and when I unpack it, there are 5 balls of rice balls filled with my favorite stuffings and a bottle of medicine with a note.

'You used your secondary ability right? Eat this medicine to get rid of the side effects quickly- Isamu,'

Ah, yes. The secondary ability's side effects. Like a drug, if I use it one time, it'll be hard to get rid it. It will darken my heart and corrupt it until it has become nothing but charcoal and if I reach that point, I can never heal anyone again and I can never go back to being human again. Yes, I would be so powerful. More powerful that Tatsumaki but I'll also lose all of my morals and ethics. The tips of my fingers have already turned coal black and if the darkness reaches to my elbows, that's when I know it's too late for me.

While having a small picnic with Genos, and a movie of a teacher beating his former disciple, I must say, my lunch is pretty good and the medicine Isamu made me doesn't taste as bad as they used to. They taste like candied fruits.

"Thanks Genos, I feel better already!" I say though the food could only make me last to talk only.

I look at the fight. At first, I wasn't so worried to see Garou fighting with Silverfang because he's his teacher, right? But the more I look at it, the more I become nervous. What if Silverfang kills him? Garou is already a disgrace to his dojo, wouldn't he be so angry with Garou?
