Betty moved to Riverdale in Sophomore year because of her abusive dad and drunken mom. Polly and Charles are twins and Polly already was living in Riverdale with her twins Juniper and Dagwood. Jason (he is alive in this) was staying with Polly also...
It was the day of the serpent dance Betty was dressed for the day and was slightly insecure because of her body but she covered up all the cuts scars and bruises with foundation and makeup. You could see her arm and it would look nothing different because she has done it before and she gets better at it everyday. Betty was in a rush for school and she never ate anything because her dad told her she looks fat so she stuck by it and didn't eat a lot.

Jughead told Betty the rules for tonight and she fake yawned at them and told him she got this. "Betty have you eaten today? You don't look well" "oh I'm fine I ate a granola bar so I'm good" she walked off which confused Jughead but tonight changed Betty and Jughead. Toni softly pulled Betty away from Jughead and had news to tell her about Riverdale High. "Ok so Betty there is this strong jawline boy his name is Reggie Mantle and he looks like your type" "Toni I don't have a type and I'm not ready to date" "ugh ok fine...so this serpent dance do you have one prepared" "of course and no I won't show you" Toni kept teasing Betty to show her but she wouldn't give in.
Hal arrived at Southside High looking for Betty and he found her in the Red and Black with Jughead and Toni. He pushed past both of them and slapped Betty on the face hard and made sure that she never ran away from home again. "HOW DOES THAT FEEL HUH BETTY! THIS TEACHES YOU A LESSON ON NEVER LEAVING HOME YOU UNDERSTAND! *slaps Betty really hard*" "Dad I understand..." Hal left and Toni got an ice pack for her cheek but Betty acted emotionless about him slapping her. Jughead gave Betty a hug and it made her have butterflies in her stomach. "Sorry i don't know why I hugged you...right I'll see you in next lesson" "oh erm yeah sure...bye Jughead...TONI! I think he likes me!" "I SHIP! NAH AH LETS SEE WHAT HE SAYS TONIGHT ABOUT YOUR SERPENT DANCE!" Betty was laughing at Toni and went to lesson.
Betty ran out of school because Sweetpea kept making ship names for Betty and Jughead which got them both pretty pissed off. Betty was walking to the drive in to get dressed for the night ahead and Jughead popped up again. "You know you should really knock what if I was naked and you was In here" "well sorry that I'm lending you my home...hey Arlo so you ready for the Ascension..." "Ready as I'll ever be...walk on I'll be there...right Arlo food water chew toy I'll be back soon bye buddy" Betty arrived at the Wyrm with her hair wavy and a pink skirt with a blue top. Jughead saw her and laughed a bit until Toni called her up on stage for the Ascension.
(Betty pole dance) :
Betty walked off stage with a serpent Jacket in her back from Toni. Alice saw her dance and wasn't happy and lucky enough that Hal was with the Lodges and she came just in time to see her daughter doing the dance. "Well Cooper that was good" "hun it looked like you didn't enjoy my dance but I wouldn't care either way" "ELIZABETH COOPER! YOUR COMING HOME RIGHT NOW! I WONT LET YOU MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!" Betty pulled back and let Alice keep walking she was tired of being pulled around so she stood her ground and let her mom keep on walking.
Betty got back to the drive in at three in the morning and fell asleep on the bed. The alarm was hurting her head so she stayed in bed and didn't go to school and was in there all day cuddling up with Arlo. It was like a Saturday but it was Thursday for them two. After school Toni and Sweetpea was looking for Betty and they found her in the Drive in Toni was hugging her and Sweetpea was stroking Arlo. "Guys I'm ok I just didn't wanna come in today...but I'm fine go on home" "I'm sorry but no...we are gonna stay at your house let your dad do the worse we can make him go ok...Sweetpea call Fangs and Jughead we are staying over at Bettys" "Toni no you don't wanna stay there it's dangerous" "I don't care we are coming"
Everyone made their way over to Bettys house and Alice was cooking for the first time and Hal gave Betty a dirty look while she told her mom that her friends are gonna stay the night and go school together tomorrow and Alice agreed then picked up a bottle of Vodka and then drank it. Hal was giving bad dirty looks to everyone so Betty brought them into her room so they aren't freaked out by Hal.
