Chapter (39) A step forward

As the sun rises, before heading off to classes, the boys gather up for breakfast.

Jimin: "How's Tae? Is he feeling better?"

Jungkook who's scooping rice into 7 bowls look up to Jimin, then smiles and nods.

Jungkook: "Yeah, seems like it. I woke him up and shoved him to the bathroom. He looks fine. And cute. Hee hee."

Jimin scoffs in disbelief while looking at Jungkook who walks off. He approaches to Yoongi who's busy tasting the hot stew.

Jimin: "Hyung, morning."

Before Yoongi notices,

Seokjin: "Morning, Jimin ah. Here, help Hyung bring this to the table."

As he says, Seokjin shoves the side dishes tray to Jimin. Jimin just softly says 'yes' and walks away to the table.

When all 6 boys settled down at the table, Yoongi brings over the hot stew.

Yoongi: "Careful, guys. Here you go!"

Taehyung sniffles and Jungkook nudges him.

Taehyung: "......"

Jungkook: "I'll bring you a glass of warm water, Hyung."

Taehyung: "....hmmm... awww...."

Taehyung who's still half-asleep, answers only when Jungkook has left to get the water. He rubs his nose as he softly sniffles.

Jimin: "Are you alright? Why don't you take a day off?"

Taehyung: "I'm ok. Just a morning sinus."

Jungkook comes back with a warm water and passes to Taehyung carefully. All along Namjoon has been watching the maknae with serious eyes and Seokjin notices.

Seokjin: "Ahem. Eat up, Namjoon. We gotta practice later on. You don't have early classes, right?"

Namjoon: "Yeah, I don't. Yeah, we gotta practice."

As he sets his eyes back on his food, Namjoon opens his phone to check on his emails and messages as usual.

Namjoon: "Hoseok, do you remember Jackson?"

Hoseok: "Mmm, you mean the one who we meet up the other time? Your friend studying abroad, right? Why?"

Namjoon: "He's back in town for awhile. I'm meeting up with him and so wondering if you'd wanna join us. This evening for dinner?"

Hoseok: "Aish, what a timing. I'm still caught up with my practice. Mine is not solo like Jimin's and so I gotta be there with my crew. Sorry Namjoon."

Namjoon: "No, it's alright. He's asking you and so I'm just helping him ask. I'll let him know Hoseok."

Hoseok: "Ommm, sorry. Oh, when's he going back? If he can make it, why don't you invite him to the carnival? It's tomorrow anyways."

Namjoon: "Yeah, I'll ask him. Actually, I'm a bit hesitant to hang out with him tonight. Still gotta practice with Seokjin Hyung for the song."

Seokjin: "I'm okay. Go with him and have fun."

The ultimate silence of 7 seconds spreads through them. All 6 younger boys look at Seokjin holding their breaths. Seokjin stops munching his food and looks up at them. Then, his eyes shift to Namjoon.

Seokjin: "What, why? What....?"

Seokjin throws a little fuss and continues munching his food. Yoongi scoffs lightly and continues his meal. The 3 maknae and Hoseok gesturing with their eyes busy from Namjoon to Seokjin. With confused eyes, Namjoon gulps and says,
