SHE IS GONE

Ash was in his bedroom, in Pallet town.  

A lot has happened. Ash almost became the world champ;Pikachu nearly died ;he lost the title of Alolan champ;he got into depression;tried to commit suicide if not only for his buddy to electrocute him before he could slit his throat and finally he stopped travelling.

His mom had gone out to get some ingredients for today's dinner. He felt guilty . She was trying to lighten his mood but her just shouted at her rudely because of the stress he had been having lately.

The door opened and Delia saw Ash sitting at his bedroom window , gazing outside in sadness.

"Hey,sweetie! I 'm gonna make the spaghetti that you like."

"Yeah. Whatever," he muttered into nothingness.

Delia looked taken aback for a moment but then smiled and walked towards him. Putting her hand on his shoulder, she soothingly said,"If anything bothers you , you can always tell me."

Something snapped within Ash and he turned to her,"What is there to tell! I am useless! I almost  let Pikachu die. I let my title slip away from me in a matter of three years. Why am I even alive!"

Delia stood there with a hurt expression on her face.

"Sweetie, you shouldn't say that. It wasn't your fault that Pikachu almost died. But he was all right in end, wasn't he?" said Delia as she gestured towards the sleeping yellow mouse on Ash's bed.

On an instinct, she went to wrap her arms around her son  but he pulled away.

"Leave me alone for some time!"

Delia nodded with a sad expression on her face and left for the market.

Delia had left around eleven o clock. It was around two now. Ash was   getting worried.

It never took Delia so much time. Ash decided to go look out for her. He woke up Pikachu and locked the house.

Now with his faithful partner on his shoulder. He jogged towards 'VOLLY's', the store his mom usually went to buy food items.As he reached the front of the of the large complex, he straight went to the counter to find a pleasant looking middle aged lady.

"Hey Mrs Smith, have you seen my mom today? Did she come here?" Ash asked after the lady greeted her.

"Yeah,looking for spaghetti ingredients I guess. She didn't find spaghetti sauce if I remember correctly. She then went somewhere else to get it."

"Did she tell you where is she going?"

"No.Why do you ask?"

"Nothing. I gotta go."

Ash turned on his heel and rushed out of the store,leaving Mrs Smith with a confused expression on his face.

Officer Jenny was in a good mood today. Not a single complaint about any Mishaps in Pallet Town. But maybe she is wrong.

Ash was really worried and frustrated. Something must have happened to his mom. But it's seldom for incidents to happen in peaceful Pallet town. But maybe he is right.

A constable was running, there were sights of some strange men in Pallet town. He went to the nearest store and rushed to phone booth. He had to tell officer Jenny.

"Hello?" Jenny picked the call. 

"WHAT!WHERE?"

Tears were beginning to well in Ash'a eyes. He  had searched all of Pallet Town except the graveyard at the outskirts. Then he remembered something. Today was his father's Birthday! Maybe his mom had gone to visit his grave!

He ran towards the outskirts. Not caring about the people he bumped into .

Jenny saw something that made her stomach lurch. There lied a women at the foot of Red Ketchum's grave. Dead.Some figures in Dark robes crouching over her.

Ash saw Jenny near his father's grave. She was leaning over on something.

"Excuse me officer? Is there some trouble here? And have you seen my mom?" came a voice from Behind.

As she stood up and turned to see who it was. The something or rather 'someone' got into view.

As officer Jenny stood up to address Ash, what he saw made him wish that he was blind.

"NOOOOOO! MOOOM !" Jenny heard the teenager cry.
