Chapter 24

Ash and His group was roaming in the school fields.It was the just half an hour after the second semi final. After seeing the intensity the match held, Professor Cerise had announced that the finals will take place the day after tomorrow. Miette had also joined them.

The girls also were with them. Lillie was chatting with Gary regarding some small researches he had helped his Grandpa with. May ,Chloe Dawn  and Miette were having some girly gossips. Goh was secretly giving Drew some tips about how to impress May. Paul was Discussing the semi final with Neo and Ash.

"So you are saying it was Phantom force all along ?" Paul inquired, sounding really impressed. 

Neo grinned,"Yup. How else do you think Candy got inside the protect? Or when the two went from underground to over sky?"

Ash then piped up,"Even I didn't know that. But, I knew that it was something that Neo referred to as his trick. So I went along."

Miette then focused everyone's attention onto Ash,"Hey , Ash. Do you know Serena is dating Calem?"

"Who is Calem? The Alolan Champion !" Was the 'pretty much' same  chatter that rang.

"Yeah, the Alolan Champ," Ash sadly replied.

"The one who beat up Paul," Miette added.

"WHAT!"

This hustle went for another fifteen minutes. Neo then exclaimed,"Fine! One more reason for me to crush Camel!" Ash then looked him in the eye,"No! We will battle together. However, individually, You will deal with Blade but  Calem is my prey. He took my girl."

"Your girl," May asked, confused. Another fifteen minutes were taken to explain who was Serena and how she mattered to Ash. Gary then whistled,"Never knew Ashy boy will fall for a girl."

"How did that happen?" Dawn asked as Lillie nodded. May also added,"Yeah, how did your dense shell break?"

Ash started to blush which surprised everyone Except Zappy , Pikachu and Neo.

"Umm, you see, Sere snogged her before she departed for Hoenn," Neo remarked Casually with his hands behind his head, Zappy mimicking his actions.

"WHAT!?" Everyone except Paul , Ash and Neo exclaimed. However, Paul too had his mouth hanging open. "

"And she never told me!" Miette wailed. May was also flustered,"Wow, never thought someone would be--. That Serena must be really determined if she is chasing after Ash of all people."

"Yeah, right ,April" Drew replied. In return he got a whack on the head and a menacing glare from May. Lillie was also stunned,"Wow, best of luck winning her back, Ash."

Paul then broke the silence,"If he is the guy who ragged me up, I want to help you two practice before you face that Pathetic puddle of goo."

Miette giggled hearing that , although Neo thought that term to be gross.Gary then turned to Ash,"Which Pokemon will you two send out to battle?"

"Greninja."

"Inferno."

"And?" Gary Inquired further. Neo replied,"What? We have to choose one pokemon, right?"

Nearly everyone face palmed. Lillie took the liberty to take it further," Don't you two listen instructions properly? The finals will have three double battles."

"Three double battles!"  Neo and Ash exclaimed together. Ash then furrowed his brow,"It will hard then. One  double battle, that too with strong trainers like Calem and Blade is exhausting enough. My best bet is to call out our toughest three Pokemon and then have them rip it!"
