Alan sat on the couch quietly, a little stiff from nervousness as he waited for Daniel to return. A few weeks had passed since their first "official" date and while they had other opportunities to spend time together, it was never the same as that night in Daniel's Lexus. Until tonight, where they would actually be hanging out at his place. Alone.

Daniel returned, lightly pushing open the bedroom door with his foot as his hands were full. He was carrying a box of pizza in one hand with plates, napkins and 2 glasses balancing on top. While in the other he held a 2 liter bottle of orange Fanta, which was Alan's choice. "Sorry... took a while to gather everything."

Alan got up and walked over quickly to help, taking the bottle and glasses from Daniel, setting them down onto the coffee table. "You could've called me to come help out." Alan stated, sitting back down on the couch.

"Well, you know... one trip and all." Daniel joked, placing the pizza and such down before sitting on the couch next to him. He handed Alan a plate before opening the box, revealing a half and half pan pizza; one side supreme while the other was grilled chicken with cheese. He grabbed a slice of the supreme, placing it on a plate.

"True, but still. One false step and you would've lost everything." Alan proclaimed, taking a slice of the chicken with a gleeful expression.

"Fair point." Daniel replied, before continuing. "I'm actually surprised my parents are not here tonight... We usually do a dinner outing on Thursdays." Daniel said in passing as he bit into his piece.

"Was it something important?" Alan asked, surprised.

"Not sure. I got a text from my mom saying she transferred some extra cash into my free spending account for me to buy dinner. She let me know that her and dad would be back late." Daniel replied with a shrug.

"Did you... tell her I was here?" Alan asked, a curious look on his face as he looked at him.

"I did. She's fine with it." Daniel answered, calmly.

"Did... you tell her I... was staying the night, Daniel?" Alan questioned, his face heating up slowly.

Daniel continued to eat his slice calmly, looking over towards Alan out the corner of his eye. "I... didn't."

"Alright, I'mma head out." Alan quickly stated, shoving the rest of the pizza slice in his mouth as he stood up. He felt a hand grab onto his shirt before he could walk away.

"Calm down, Moogle." Daniel spoke with a smile.

"Calm- CALM DOWN?!" Alan spoke, his face red from shock and confusion. "Are you trying to get us killed?!"

"I sent her a message when we got here asking if you could and she hasn't responded yet. If she says you can't, I'll take you back home. I don't think it will be a problem, though." Daniel reassured him, lightly tugging at Alan's shirt to pull him back down to sit on the couch.

"How can you be so sure about that?" Alan asked, skeptical as he plopped back down.

"Let me put it this way... I don't think she has anything to worry about like she would if it was my brother or sister..." Daniel replied, that same innocent smile on his face.

Alan frowned in confusion, before it clicked in his head exactly what Daniel meant, and his face went fully red once it registered. "Doesn't mean she would be happy with it, regardless." Alan shot out quickly in response, shoveling another piece into his mouth.

"What do you mean?" Daniel asked, confused.

"I-I mean... she w-wouldn't be cool with us getting.... I mean... d-doing..." Alan couldn't even finish the sentence as he continued chewing, looking over in embarrassment to see Daniel smirk playfully. "You fucking wombat..."
