Jane woke up late, she was worn out from the night before. She knew it would take awhile to find her groove and once she did it wouldn't be as big of a battle. Stormy was none too happy his food was late, so she got up right away and fed him and started her usual morning routine. She wasn't going to run or work out this morning, she'd had gotten enough exercise the night before and was sore. She thought a nice bath may help. Plus she needed to pack for her away games

About an hour later she was enjoying some coffee in the bathtub when her cell rang. She hoped it wasn't Carole. She didn't have the energy to deal with her. Not recognizing the number, Jane picked up her phone

"Hi. This is Jane. Can I help you?"
"Um. Hi. This is Brady. How are you?"
"How did you get this number? Why are you calling?!"
"I won't reveal my sources. But, you are pretty easy to find if you know which connections to use. And, I was calling to ask you to lunch. Today, around 1:00. I found an out of the way cafe in Connecticut. Real small town. Real small diner. We won't be seen."

"Geez. You do know this isn't a good idea, right?" She was flattered and shocked but figured why not. She had her sportsmanship medicine degree to fall back on. "Alright. Lunch. That's it I can't be home late though. I have a flight out in the morning for a west coast stretch, which, I'm not looking forward to."

"I will meet you at the diner. I'd offer to pick you up but.."

"It's all good. I'll take the train. Can you pick me up at the station? That shouldn't be too bad should it? Besides when you said where it was I started researching it. This is the station. Due in at 12:55pm"

"I'll be there. I drive a grey Audi. And trust me, we won't be seen. See you soon!"

She hurriedly got out of the tub and started to panic. What in the world was she thinking? She'd been on dates, lots of dates but none with anyone remotely close to Brady. Then she realized maybe it wasn't a date, she'd offer to go dutch, that would help make it not a date. She figured it best to end it before anything started. She'd keep him as a friend and try not to referee the games he was playing or try and be as fair as she could. She was getting way ahead of herself but she had to. She truly shouldn't take the risk, but, at this point, she didn't care. She didn't have many friends since Molly had left, just her kitty and the only thing he cared about was a clean litter box and a full bowl of food

Jane opted to pack before leaving that way she could relax after coming home. She planned on eating whatever leftovers she had for dinner and being in bed by 10:00. Since she was prepping she laid out detailed instructions for Abbie regarding Stormy. She adored him and she knew Abbie would take good care of him

She styled her chestnut brown hair in a messy bun, and applied a hint of blush, mascara and lipstick. She didn't wear a lot of makeup. She put on jeans, casual black flats and a white tee shirt. She topped it off with gold stud earrings and a watch. Less is more., Is what she was always taught. She gave herself a quick look, grabbed her coat and purse and headed out to catch the train
