The next morning Emberly woke earlier than everyone. The sun was just rising and the air was humid from the last night's storm. She woke with tears stains fresh on her face with her eyes puffy. She didn't have the confidence to face Harry or Hagrid. This was the most hurt she felt in her lifetime, but something was telling her there is much worse coming for her.

Minutes later, beside her, she then felt stirring indicating Harry was waking. There then was a tap at the window for quite a while before Harry got up. She heard mumbling from the sofa saying something about an owl which caught her interest. She then tuned into the conversation.

"... He wants payin' fer deliverin' the paper. Look in the pockets."

Harry then walked over to the jacket and looked through all the pockets except for the few that Emberly was under. He then hesitated decided if he should risk waking up Emberly who he didn't know was wide awake.

Deciding to make his life easier she opened her eyes and looked at harry.

"Morning Harry," she said quietly as she sat up.

"Em' why are your eyes red, you haven't been crying?" he said oblivious to the clear signs that she was.

"What do you think Harry. We've been stuck together like glue since we where practically babies and now you're going to a school without me, for almost a year. So now you expect me to be ok, you expect me to be happy? I guess we aren't as close as I thought." she said while fresh tears were rolling down her face.

"Emberly don't think like that," he said while whipping a tear from her face. "Think of it as a positive thing, next year you can come with me and while I'm gone I'll write all the time. It'll be like I'm still with you." He then embraced her into a hug. Emberly smiled, she was wrong. They where really close, if he was really willing to write her letters so was she.

Then their moment was interrupted by the owl which was still demanding money. Harry reached for the money and handed it to the owl which then flew out the window towards its owner.

Minutes later she watched as Harry and Hagrid left on the boat heading towards land while she stayed behind with the Dursleys since they haven't woken yet. The words harry spoke to her kept going through her mind, keeping her optimistic and grateful for her new opportunity soon to come. "You're all I got Em' so I won't let anything happen to you. If it means I have to pretend I'm an only child then I'll do it. You're the most important person to me and I could never let you go.". She smiled at the thought and sat on the couch waiting.

It felt like hours until they finally assumed it was safe to leave there room. Uncle Vernon then glared at her sending destress through her. Before she had Harry to protect her but now, she would soon learn to protect herself on her own.

They crossed the body of water and headed home. Just like the previous night, no one talked except for when someone needed too. They did stop for food but they would leave Emberly in the car. The only time she finally ate was when they arrived at home for dinner which consisted of a few potatoes for herself.

She then headed towards her shared room and sat on her bed. It felt so lonely without her brother she thought. She stared out her window in anticipation. It's only been a full day and she already missed her dear brother.

She headed towards their small wardrobe and changed into a big teeshirt and pants that happened to be big for her waist forcing her to pin them in order for them to stay up. As she headed back towards her bed she heard a door open. She immediately was filled with excitement and ran down the stairs. She pulled Harry into a huge hug.
