Chapter 29: The Cost Of Freedom

Kouro falls to his knees right in front of me, blood spills out of his chest his skin tinged with a burn.

"KOURO! you idiot! Why?!" Sammy pleads from the ground.

"Well I thought... she- might of stopped.. if I got in the way. but I was sooo wrong."

I stumble backwards heavy breathing mind stinging, looking left and right like trying to find a way out.

"Raven! You did this!" Sammy shouts.

"Shut up!" I scream back making a gesture of throwing magic force...but nothing comes to control.

"What's happening?!"

"It looks like your fighting back." Sammy says surprised.

"My goody two shoes side might be strong but I'm stronger!" I shout gaining control again.

I turn away leaving them on the ground and head towards a distance village.

"Wait!" Sammy shouts.

I ignore him and keep walking taking my time on the path way.

SAMMY's Perspective:

Crap.

I get to my feet and go to Kouro, he does not look good.

"do you think you will live?" I ask him.

"Well I...don..t- (cough) want.. to fall asleep... because....I- mi..ght not wake up....(cough)."
Blood does not stop coming from his chest and his eyes start to close slowly.

"What happened to the fast healing of a VAMPIRE?!" I shout.

"It doesn't... look like...I'm heal--ing, your stupid poison still has an effect." Kouro says his voice getting quieter and quieter.

"KOURO!! (Foot steps) Whose there!"

RAVEN's perspective:

The ache of emptiness is still in my chest and tears forming around the edges of my eyes. But my mind stays as it is.

"Stupid, just jumping out like that." I say to myself irritatedly.
"Well...off to destroy stuff." I finish off.

I enter a small village about 100 houses at most to find it completely empty. They must off new I had a surprise for them. That won't stop me.

I click my fingers and a house explodes right next to me but nothing hits me due to a force field around myself.
I fling my left hand to the side and another house explodes etc.

30 Minutes Later:

Only flames, dust and burned dirt covered the whole village land.
A gust of wind blows behind me and I turn to catch to the fresh air.

I see someone emerge from the dusty cloud, Sammy. He walks toward me and stops 10 meters away.

"I have a proposition for you." He says cunningly

"I'm not interested." I say raising my hand toward him.

He swiftly takes a step back and says "Since you want to rule...or destroy everything, I would like to work for you. I would think someone as powerful as you would at least have some workers."

"Sammy, I know you are good with words but you still double cross people." I answer back ready to shoot.

"Sammy! What are you doing? Like that's going to work." A familiar female voice says.

Another 2 people appear, Elisabeth and Greg. they stand beside Sammy unafraid ready for anything.

"It's funny how things change, I'm suddenly the one you need to stop and your the 'good guys'." I say smirking a little.

I take a breath in making the expression of solving a problem "Sammy if you were serious about working with me I will accept..."

Sammy's face changes to a mischievous smile and I continue to speak "On one condition... Kill Elisabeth."

His face drops then returns to normal, he turns to her and walks forward. Elisabeth steps back gripping to the shoulder I hurt, she looked weak and helpless after being smash be myself. Greg steps in to stop him, Sammy pushes Greg out of the way, Greg grabs onto Sammy's shirt but he punches Greg in the face making him fall over, Sammy continues to go toward her.

Sammy grabs Elisabeth's by the shoulders, she says something under her breath and the Sammy bites down on her neck, draining her of life it's self.

After a few seconds Elisabeth drops to to ground dead like. Blood covered Sammy's face as no expression desired to show its self.
Greg stairs where Elisabeth has fallen, he does nothing but look and stab his glare into Sammy like he was a traitor.

"You gotta do what you gotta do to live." I say smirking letting Sammy stand next to me.

I detect an unsafe feeling that lingers next to me and I suddenly realize that is was to easy. I quickly turn to Sammy ready to defend.

He grabs me by the shoulders and smirk then kisses me.
I'm forced to swallow a mouthful of Elisabeth's blood.

I break free and slap Sammy across the face, I lift my hand to obliterate him with my magic. But I fall to my knees struggling, I hear Sammy say "Forgot you still wearing the necklace? I guess all you needed was Elisabeth's blood. (moooohahaha!)."

"Wait! I can't turn into that innocent thing! I still have to destroy lives!!" I scream.

Blue magic leeks from my body in swirls into the air, I put my hand up into the air to grab to magic "I'm the only one who can save Kouro." I say my lips curled evilly.

The face on Sammy flashed with shock and took a step forward, the magic shoots back into my body and it goes black.
