Carter Rose
My blog:
Best day at school! But it was also the worst! Spent my break with Lydia while eating chips and sharing ideas for the school newspaper. Then, got kicked off the school newspaper because of the lack of excitement in my writing. Lydia pretty much got a promotion as she was asked to write the main story of the week. Of course I'm jealous! I might say that I almost hated Lydia for a second when I heard the news, but I could never do that to her. She was so happy, and she did tell me that she wouldn't accept the opportunity if it made me feel upset. I told her she was being ridiculous and told her to accept it. She did. I don't know what she's going to write about. Some of the ideas we had were the cheer leading team, the science leagues victory and the school cafeteria food prices. None of them were really very engaging, so we gave up. And, anyway, it's up to her now. Anything she wants to write about, she can write about. Check out my blog next time guys! See you for now!

Friday 16th December: Carter Rose's POV
"Earth to Carter!" Said Lydia, waving her hand in front of me. I was pulled back to reality- The high school cafeteria in California. I gazed around. I saw hundreds of students sitting on metal tables, with big round yellow seats on the edge. They were all chatting loudly and laughing. Lydia was laughing at me, her long blonde hair flowing down to the middle of her back. Her baby blue eyes were sparkling as the fluorescent eyes shined down on her. Owen was also laughing, shoving a sandwhich into his mouth. His brown hair and brown eyes were the perfect shade of chestnut. He and Lydia were my best friends!
"What were you even thinking about anyway Carter? Asked Lydia.
I swallowed. "Nothing." I murmured.
Owen cracked up again.
I shoved him and he wasn't expecting it. He tipped and fell backwards onto the floor. A few girls around us giggled. Many girls liked Owen. And I mean like like him. I have to admit. He wasn't bad looking- in fact he was one of the best looking guys around. But I would never tell him that, or feel that way about him. He's a friend! That's all.
"Nothing? Really? 'Cause it didn't look that way to me." Owen said, checking his watch and zipping up his turquoise jumper.
I smiled at him sarcastically and dumped my leftover food in the garbage. "I'm just bummed 'cause of what happened with the school newspaper." I said frowning.
"Awwww! Carts... Don't worry. Like I said, I can still quit." Said Lydia, still chomping on her sandwhich.
"No, no, you earned it Lyds! Don't quit for me. I don't want to get in the way of your fun."
Owen groaned from behind us and slung his arms around our shoulders. "Enough of the girly sappy stuff. Let's go have some fun. It's a half-day! No more school for the rest of the day."
I giggled. I was happy to have a break from year 12. "We still have ten minutes left Owen. Pace yourself! And what do you wanna do anyway?"
"Shopping!" Squealed Lydia.
Owen groaned. "No, definitely not!"
"I agree Lydia. We went shopping last weekend, and you ended up blowing all of your savings on lipstick and skirts."
"Whatever..." She murmured.
"I was thinking maybe a movie or just chilling at my place." Said Owen.
I nodded in agreement. Wow, just chilling sounded like a nice idea right now. I needed a break. And a break I shall get. "Yeah, let's just go to your house Owen. I really wanna see Mandy again!"
