It's a Saturday and I showed up at Eli's, Mia's asking me if I can make cream puff with her, but I actually have a different idea.

It's been two weeks since Eli and I had our first date, We've been a little busy with our life, but we still managed to have another date night this weekend.

And I already have Eli's permission, well, he didn't know who we're going to met, but he said that it's fine and he won't be mad about it.

We stop in front of a house, "Who are we meeting?" Mia asked

"It's a surprise." I smile as I rang the doorbell.

"Hi." The woman look at me, "Do I know you?"

"It kind of depends, since it's been a long time since you saw me." I said, "My name is Bella Hope, I'm Eddy's sister in law, Lizzy's cousin in law."

"No offence, are you the one that landed in jail a few years ago."

"Yes, that would be me." I said, "Hi, Bonnie, I'm glad that you still recognize me, even though it wasn't a good memory."

She then look at the little girl beside me, "Mia?"

"Mommy!" The five years old smiles so big as she jump on her, "I miss you so much."

"Me too, princess, me too." She has tears in her eyes, "Come on in."

"Thanks." I said as I walked in.

-

I never seen Mia this happy, "Bella, can we please make cream puffs?"

I look at Bonnie, "As long as your mom said yes."

"Sure, I have the ingredients." She said,

"Mommy, Bella and I make the best cream puffs in the world." Mia smiles, "You are going to love it."

"I know I will, because you made it." Bonnie smiles as she give her a kiss on the forehead, "So how is summer camp? Did you make any friends?"

"No, the people in my class are mean, They said that you don't want me because I wasn't being good."

"Princess, I'm sorry that I left, Mommy went on a journey that make me better, like you have to learn to make cookie or cake. You are always awesome, and don't listen to kids in camp."

"Hope and Faith, who Aunt Helen called them crazy twins, are my best friend even though they're a year younger then me." Mia said, "They enjoy pushing the kids that said mean thing to me into the mud."

"I'll go talk to my sister." I sigh.

"I don't think you need to, they're just looking out for Mia." Bonnie said, then turn back to Mia, "Why is Aunt Helen picking you up?"

"Usually Uncle Eddy picked me up from camp, and I get to spend time with my little cousins, Lydia and Liam, Uncle Josh said that I'm a excellent helper. Then Daddy will pick me up later at night, it's been like this since he told me I'm a big girl and I should go to summer camp and make more friends."

"Well, my princess, you're a big girl now."

"Yes, but I need to pee." Mia said as she walkoto the washroom.

"Thank you." She said to me

"I might not be a mother, but I know that Mia missed you a lot."

"Did Eli know you're bring her to see me?"

"Well, no." I chuckle nervously, "But I mean I talked to him and say that I'm being Mia to meet someone she loves a lot, and he says okay."

"How is he?" She asked

"Fine, He tried to do a geed job raising Mia, and he spent time with her as much as possible. He also helped me a lot with my problems, and well.." I couldn't finished the sentence, how am I supposed to tell Bonnie that Eli and I are going on dates, it'll just be awkward.

"And you like him." She chuckled, "Relax Bella, I'm not going to say anything."

"It's just a little weird."

"Not really, I'm glad he find someone though, I mean I'm not worthy for he to give up on finding his happiness. You're an awesome girl."

"Thanks for the compliment, but I was really curious to know your story, but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I said

"I thought that you guys already knows since I talked to Eddy a month ago."

"Eddy?" I asked

"Well, he came with your Mom."

"How did they even know where you lived," I asked incredulously, "I need to have a talk with those two."

"Mommy!" Mia come out of the washroom, "We should make cream puffs."

"Sure." She smile, "Lead the way, my little baker."

-

After baking, play in the backyard, spending so much time catching up, now we have a five year old sleeping on the couch.

"Thank you." Bonnie said as she pulled me into a hug, "I never thought that in my life, I'm able to see Mia again."

"Why did you left in the first place?" I asked

"Because I failed, I was hurt when I made those mistakes and I feel like a failure when I can't resist temptation." She sigh, "After Mia's one, Eli got so caught up in work that be put it in front of us, and I was trying to communicate with him but we always ended up arguing. That's when Bruce came in, and I rejected him at first, but one day Eli and I got into this really big argument and then everything went South after I went to a club for some drinks. It's all my fault, I shouldn't have go to the club that day."

"I feel like I lost the right to raised Mia when I make a wrong choice, and I also hope that with me leaving, it'll make Eli realize he should be focus on his daughter more." She sigh

"You know, we all make mistakes." I said, "One mistake didn't make you fail, as you realize the mistake you made, you move on with them and hope not to do the same thing again. It doesn't lost you the right to raised Mia, you should forgive yourself and move on with your life. You already lost a part of Mia's life and I think you shouldn't lost more."

"You sounded like Eli if he's here." She chuckle, "I would like to be a part of Mia's life again, but there's someone I need to talk to."

Then the doorbell rang, "I'll go see who was it."

"Hey Bon, do you think we can talk?" I know this voice, oh crap.
