AFTER A BROKEN MARRIAGE .

Lloyd got up early on monday he knew he would have to go all the way across town and he would have to catch a cab he didn't want to be late he got some juice pack his tool and left anxious to get working, he got there and laurence meet him "you still come haven't  they informed you someone else got the job" he pointed to a guy at one end of the huge room,
"I thought we agreed"
"We did but other options came"
Lloyd nod, look over at the guy across the room doing the work he was supposed to, here he was thinking of a brand new phone and to fix his van, all that were just thoughts now, his wife is going to be furious on finding out that he won't be able to do the job,  much as he was disappointed he shows no sign he humble himself and left he sat in office all day thinking what to do next,
Tuesday he stay home he just didn't have the feeling of going in the office just to sit around doing nothing he could do that at home,
Monique came from the bedroom to see him sitting there the nearly empty wine bottle on the coffee table a glass in his hand the look if frustration on his face, from the way he just sat there she figured he got the news for the haste he left with yesterday morning and he's here now,
"You sitting around when you got a job to do" she said
"Someone else got the job"
"What!" She act surprised
Lloyd look up
"I told you how useless you are" she hissed going towards the door,
The days goes on and what he faces becomes unbareable with every passing day,
they call him at the garage about his van for it's almost two months he haven't bring the money and anytime now it can become scrap metal he was tire of taking a cab to work tired of not getting anything to do tired of his wife's attitude but was trying his  best to cope with it,
  "Hey!" aliyah called out as she blow her horn hoping to caught Lloyd attention, she pulled up to him and he stopped, "hey" she said calmly leaning out to chat,
"Hi" he said, looking at her converstable that he before mistaken for his wife's
"what's Up" she asked with a smile
Lloyd did admire her much as he was trying to not do so, each time he saw her he does it and it gave him chills, it couldn't be helped she was seen in his eyes a different way he saw any other her body was quite perfect,
"how have you been doing I haven't seen you since that day in the counselor's  office"
"oh yeah, that day" he said that has been over a month he remembered after the three sessions with out his wife he haven't been back he wondered if she had asked why he was there if by chance that counselor would mentioned his reason for being there to her,  and she would bring it up,
"No work today"
"I'm acturally doing some road a round"
"road around?" aliyah smile, nodding her head, "Never heard that one before, so where's your ride?"
He clenched click his tongue and tighten his eyes,
"trouble once more?"
he nods,
"Did you do lunch?" aliyah asked looking at her watch lunch time has past she had only had the morning session with some kids and was on the road she wasn't thinking about lunch till just now,
"actually I haven't had lunch"
"can I invite you for lunch?"
"if lunch is at Albany outdoor dinning"
aliya smile "hop in" she said opening the door to the other side"
Lloyd admire her for her beautiful appearance and for her talking and it wasn't to the fact because she spoke so nicely but she was talking none stop, he sat watching her with a smile,
"you should definitely give me your address, I think it's only fair I replace your phone it is actually my fault it got broken in the first place"
"you don't even have to worry about it"
"I just think it's fair"
"maybe when I see you again"
"in another month?"
"he didn't realize she noticed it was a month,
"how about i gave you my number"
"OK" he said she wrote it on a piece of hand towel and gave it to him,
a week went by and she can't believe he haven't called and nelisa hadn't took down a number for him, not even an address,
"you haven't called me" aliyah said in seeing Lloyd in town,
"I haven't gotten around to it yet"
"why you lying like a school boy?"
Lloyd hang his head to laugh,
"And to think you're handsome"
his laughter became more,
"will another lunch at Albany convince you to call me"
"As long as I'm the one paying"
aliyah nods
"This is my first time seeing you on a Saturday"
Lloyd could have sworn it was on a Saturday they bump into each other but because he couldn't remember he didn't say,
"it's not that i don't go out on saturday but not very often"
"so how is the van coming on?"
"they are trying with it" he lied for they were more to sell it than fix it the only reason it wasn't sold yet because the man there knew him well,
"I see you didn't bother to call my uncle"
"I try but the call didn't go through"
aliyah laugh "you see there you go once again lying"
"what are you a human lie director?" he asked with a smile
"try me tell me something"
"I am a heavy drinker I got drunk often and I party the same"
"you probably drink a lot not really a drunk and you probably work harder than you party"
he laugh shook his head and look at her,
"what about you you don't lie"
"not really, I don't like to lie, unlike  you"
he smile,
"I know you're married and all but can I invite you to dinner one of the evenings?"
"Dinner?"
"It is just dinner"
"I'll try, by the way how did you know I'm married?" he asked having the feeling the counselor did  already told her
"the ring on your finger signifys something doesn't it"
Lloyd look at the hand with his ring then Back to her
"you like taking married men out for dinner?"
"It depends if that married man his handsome and sexy like you"
he laugh, "if I say we have dinner don't expect anything more"
"You mean like me talking you in to bed" aliyah asked
He nod
aliyah held both hands up with no words
"let me know" he told her,
she nod, she later came to realize he's the one with her number and was sure he wasn't going to call,
"stupid me" she said,
a week went by since Lloyd met with aliyah and another tough week with Monique, he really needed to get out for a evening mark was saying he should consider taking a vacation but he couldn't not now when things were thin, he could actually use that dinner night out though, he picked up his phone and try to dial the number aliyah gave him but the buttons wouldn't move a muscle, "shit!" he curse tossing the phone or went flying across the kitchen Monique push the door away she did the phone come at her she has to duck to avoid it from hitting her, they both look as it smash on the living room floor, the pieces in parts laying about, she turn to look at him but he walk out through the back door, Monique look back at the shatter phone on the ground wondering what got into her husband now,
Aliyah was about to do some setting up to  a area on the building where she conduct her aerobics class thinking how much she could offer the job to him but didn't have his number, she left asking that  the receptionist  get in touch with someone, he remembered that guy who had done some refurbishing at his grandparents house and call his grandma to get the number he call and he was free,
"While aliyah was out on Friday evening Lloyd went in and checked it out it was just a one room that need a complete fixing the office to which the documents are kept she wants to ceil it off and add decent shelve with a good door,
Monday she got to work early a head of the cleaning lady she clean up took a shower and was about to get dressed,
Lloyd was told he could go up straight down the hall as he remembered but because he didn't think no one would be there he opened the bathroom that was right on the way down the hall,
Aliyah just got down from the shower as she stepped out the door to the bathroom burst open she jump for at first she didn't knew who it was and try to hide herself with her hands,
Lloyd sprang around quickly and cover his face "I'm so sorry I wasn't expecting no one"
"Its OK" aliyah said as she got dress "it's OK I'm dress now" she said he turned and saw her smile,
"U was on my way down to the file room"
"You're here for the renovation?"
Lloyd nod,
She Was hoping it would happen and here he was she smiled nod "OK good a head don't let me keep you" she said walking away with a smile, she always remembers her grand mother's words god is good and he always send what you want at the right time, and she really needed for him to do her work, she asked her secretary to took down his account number
for the money to be  wired to his account,
She  saw him on monday  but Tuesday and Wednesday  she didn't see him come or leave she knew he was busy down the hall, On Thursday she thought of checking in at lunch time but someone grab her to talk and by she finish talking  lunch was over, 
Lloyd wonder why he haven't ran into her since Monday having a urge to see her, he wasn't sure of finding her here again on Friday morning he came in early with just the receptionist and the secretary present so he thought, he wasn't expecting anyone but because he had found aliyah in the bathroom the other day he decided to try the door,  he push open the bathroom door only to see her inside naked once more,
"Ah shit!" He said covered his eyes aliyah who was about to get in her work out gears put them aside walking over to him,
"If you knew of someone who's nakedness bite mine don't" she whispers as she took his hand place it on her naked butt cheek, Lloyd eyes widen as his palm come in contact with her naked flesh, he fold his lip biting back long time emotions she drag it up her side and he let her his hand place on her breast and he felt himself vibrate she cuffed his cheek and bring his face down to kiss him after letting go she got into her gym suit no panties no bra, she turn and grin at him grab his butt as she went by him,
"I'm still looking forward to that dinner date" she said, he nod for at this moment it felt as thought he was in a trans, she walked away again not getting his number,
The next few days he use the opportunity to finished up for he didn't want such a small work to took up so much of his time, Thursday evening he left the building but then realized he forgot his tool went back to get it, he met the receptionist outside and he told him he could just go up since aliyah said she would close up for she was still in the building doing her own work out, she took a shower but didn't Realize her bag was left across the hall she knew she was alone so she makes her way across to get it, she came out the door but before she made it lloyd came up and they ran into each other,

He lean in once more to kiss her setting her free the both use the shower and he went down for his tool and she too get dress
He was waiting outside when she came down,
"You're still here?" She asked
"Can I, can I buy you dinner?"
"Albany?"
"I mean real dinner"
"OK" aliyah said with a smile "I'll get the car, she went around the side to where she parked came back and he load his tool inside they drove to Mac got a table for two, he ordered drinks for them they both took a long drink
"Thanks I needed that" aliyah said
"The drink?"
"No the sex" she grin, "yes the drink"
They both smile,
"I hope I didn't come on too strong as you know I'm"
"Married?"
He nod
"I understand, you can't make no commitment to me"
He nod,
"I can take take a hint, but you were good don't be selfish"
He let his head fall as he shook it,
"So you're finished working over there?" She asked having not checked to see,
"Yeah I'm done, nice place I bet the owner must be proud to own such a building" he said
"I guess" aliyah said with a smile, they talk some more before dinner ended she drop him off for him to catch a cab he kiss her,
"I guess I'll see you around, thanks for this evening" she said
He ease in to kiss her more before getting out her car,
He watch her drive off wondering to himself who was he kidding he wanted something from her she was the sweetest thing he yet to came in contact with and would love to see her again,
She was hoping to see him again even if he's unable to make a commitment,
Aliyah was in rockdale Saturday evening she had just gotten from lunch with nelisa  she decided to bypass the high way and took the one way home, on 11st st down town was  the Stephen garage  her uncle once work before he got his own she normally stop by when ever she's on this side of town, it's been a while she haven't stop by and today did so,
"hey" she said when she came to see rick who greet her warmly,
they talk for a while before she went around to greet anyone else, she saw Wayne by a truck that she came to know it belong to the architec but it was the for sale sign that got her questioning,
Wayne explain its been there for some time and the owner didn't come up with a payment as request,
"I'll buy it from you" aliyah said
"you want to but it, eventually it is now parts"
"I'll write you a cheque"
"if you insist"
"I insist, how much?"
"I'll give you for $10.000"
aliyah nod she wrote the cheque hand it  to Wayne "I'll send to pick it up in the morning"
Wayne nod she bid him and the others goodbye then left,
Before heading home she went to see her uncle Dave to talk to him about the van, Dave didn't hesitate Sunday morning bright and early two of his worker went out to rockdale to pick it up, he call her to say it arrived on her way to her parents she stopped by almost her entire family live in paulding only in different street her father sister mabel live in eastdale on the other side of paulding she is a interior disigner  shes currently working from home for she just couldn't find the right building and didn't want one too far from home, she didn't like to hurry love being on time love getting home early for she has a husband and a cat she's devoted to she didn't have children for she was unable to but she showed her love to other children through the needed foundation for children, her mother family was just sisters three and they all married with a pair of  boys and no girl, all the boys were older than she was, and her mother was the only of the four girls with a girl the only girl and she be like the queen of the pack, her aunt meg two boys became lawyers aunt Silvia one son work as a engineer he's living in another state, and the young son aveterinarian, aunt celia two boys play baseball America's most talked abouts and her aunts are retired teachers, her mom a srink and her dad a  retired ship captain,
the family got to a level in life that helping others were a main priority it was grace that brought the two family together, she was different for instead of teaching or becoming a lawyer or doctor she chose fitness and never love anything so much in her live, but this feeling she was developing for this  architec guy was sweet and to think he's not rich or she wasn't sure if its because she already has something  why she  isn't   bothered  a bit about it, , and if spending a little on him to lurk him in she's willing to try that was if what happened the other day didn't, she like it she won't lie and hope she get to see him again even once a while.
as long as she pay for the require parts her uncle was willing to fix it for free, she gave him a check that could cover it,  Wednesday she stop by to find that they already pulled it apart and the engine was being clean, before she leave she said she would visit again on thursday, but up to Saturday she havent gone to see what was happening, Saturday afternoon she visit nelisa at her home in walton and listen to her talk happily about herself and her new found love odean,
She haven't gone around telling her about the heated moment with the architec 
"I'm talking none stop how are things with you and the, the architecture?"
Aliyah cover her face and make some muffled sound
"not going according to plans?" Nelisa ask
Aliyah shook her head,
"what?"
"He really wants to work out his marriage, its been a week he should have called me but he haven't"
"weren't you the same one who says he did not have a good phone"
"you're right like he doesn't have a good ride, I found his old van at Stephen garage they were about to sell it for scrap metal"
"oh yeah?"
"oh yea, he haven't come up with the money to fix it, I bought it for $10.000"
"you're into scrap metals now?" nelisa ask and they both laugh,
"my uncle is working on it when it's good as new I'll give it back"
nelisa nod, "like I gave odane  my key and allow him to drive my car, you know the one I have park in the carport around back"
"OK" aliyah said
"I envy you for you like the guy and get to have the guy, the guy I like is married and we did it but he can't promise no commitment" she said covering her face
"You did it, but how?"
"That small renovation I told you about her some how got the job and I ran into him couple of times  we just did it,  We went for dinner he said "I'll see you around" and I haven't seen him"
"Don't worry I'm sure he'll come around" nelisa said "well i hope he does for he got taste" they both grin, 
They talk a while giggling with each other, odane came so aliyah leave to give them space,
she head home with out stopping today what she has at home will serve her for probably another week, she strip herself to her panties then went to the kitchen, instead of a turkey dish she made a tuna salad and went out on the patio, she live in a joining penthouse that she shares only with a stuff toy a over grown teddy she name humfrey she plan to move but haven't found the perfect house she didn't want to leave paulding not just did her entire family was here her life was here and she love it here,
Lloyd sat down on the sofa his head in his palm  as he think, he thought about aliyah for a while he couldn't stop thinking about her remembering their solid encounter its been two weeks but it kept coming back like it was yesterday, he try to not think of her but the hardest he fight the more she plague his mind,
He was told that the money was going to be in the bank but he haven't checked it since, he knew it wasn't a lot of money, not much to  get by with for  since that job got canceled it was like life got canceled for  him he has no phone to communicate with while on the road, and because he wasn't getting any big job offer he was mostly on the road trying to see who is renovating,  and  how well he could get in, the company wasn't as big as others as he had once plan to build it up and hire more people, he wanted to accomplish that before he turns forty he has the building a few workers but not at the gold set, he stop at the payphone to call a few people but after incerting the coin he found he didn't have the numbers of the people he would like to call, he sighed hopelessly,
Aliyah uncle hand a small pouch to her monday evening once she stop by that which  he had found in the van, she went home desperate to know what was in it she was tempted more than once to pull over and go through it, but she fight the urge,
she got home took a drink confort herself then took the pouch  while going through it  she found a few information about the architecture and a home address, she saw a few numbers but didn't pay much attention to them for none has his name they didn't really have any name, she call nelisa to share the news,
the phone ran and nelisa ease odane from her rolling to herside she knew it was aliyah because of the ring tone,
"hey" she said
from the tone of her voice aliyah knew something was going down, "I call at at a bad time, I'm sorry"
"no don't be, tell me"
"I found some information about our guy"
"you have what?"
"a picture drivers license, passport and a address"
"yeah!" nelisa finally sat up fully loosing herself from odane's arms getting out of bed lean in to kiss him rest a finger on his lips she put on a coat before going to the kitchen she talk with aliyah for some time,
"so what you plan to do?" she asked
"send him something in the mail"
"something?"
"yeah it can just be a card"
"OK"
"I'm sorry about breaking your love match, If I were you I wouldn't dear pick up the phone, give a kiss for me, love you, I love both of you"
they both giggled as they say goodbye,
nelisa fix a drink for herself and Odane  before going back to the room she hand him a drink lean in to kiss him "aliyah says to kiss you"
"like that?" he asked
"it could be like this" she kiss him deeper they both giggled as he took the glass rest them both on the bedside table to indulge her in more sex.
"you're here?" Monique asked when she stepped out to find Laurence leaning on her car
"I'm hoping we do dinner"
"Dinner is fine" she said coming to hug him and he kiss her,
"he open the car door for her as she was to drove behind him to Neil's restaurant
Lloyd was still up when she came in around two he didn't bother to ask her were about for since of late she do what she wants, what they got now didn't seem like a relationship, her friends gets all her time, and to think they use to be good,
Before going to work next morning lloyd stop at the money machine get the money homing to pay some on his van, he went down town to Stephen's garage he finally after so long time, , he wasn't surprised to hear someone had bought the old van but was disappointed it was with his documents all his important informations his travel documents, passport and all his insurance for his home drivers license company papers bank documents,
"is there a way I can get in contact with that person?" he asked
"I'll see how soon and get back to you"
he left and went to the office,  glad when another still day hath past, he got home to find his wife home, they went through the evening with no words to each other Lloyd tries to avoid saying anything at all he was at a point where that was the best way to go about it,
Aliya and nelisa went into the phone store to look for a suitable phone one aliyah could send for Lloyd nelisa chose the #87 android a late brand recently came on the market, thought expensive they both agreed it was the right one, aliyah wrote the address with nelisa over her shoulder
"lloyd Chadwick?" nelisa question "isn't chadwick a first name?"
"well it is at the end of this guy's name"
"all Chadwick I know are rich,
like Chadwick Boseman the black panda"
"Stephen Chadwick is a country singer" aliyah said
"yeah I forgot got him but most of the others are first name"
not that they could think of another now but didn't try to,
"will he get it this afternoon?" nelisa ask
"yes mam" the guy around the counter answer they both left to go have lunch.
"don't worry he'll get it"
"and if he don't?" aliyah ask
"we'll sue the company and became a multi millionaire"
they both grin at each other, "He'll get it" they said together grinning once more as they reach at the same time to take each other's hand.
