The atmosphere in Hogwarts had become hostile with everyone being split on if Harry had put his name in the Goblet or not. Even Ron and Harry argued in their dormitory after Harry's name had been revealed and honestly Ron was stupid to even consider Harry could do something like that.
I had asked Cedric and Krum if they wanted to practice Quidditch together to check Cedric's skills. I had walked over to the Hufflepuff table during breakfast after Krum agreed to help me, but Cedric remembered they were going to be interviewed in the morning so we decided to practice in the afternoon. Walking back to the Gryffindor table was horrible as I had made awkward eye contact with Draco resulting in all his friends staring over at me and whispering.
The early afternoon air was crisp causing me to wish I had put a jumper underneath my Gryffindor team jersey. Although not much Quidditch was being played this year due to the Tournament, I still had my uniform from last year. I wandered over to Krum and Cedric who were spaced quite far apart on the Quidditch pitch. Cedric stood out in his own Hufflepuff uniform while Krum looked dashing in his Bulgarian team uniform.
He really stood us up.
"Hi guys." I said, breaking the silence between the boys. They both greeted me quietly and stared around at their surroundings, trying not to make eye contact with each other.
"Look, I know you are soon going to battle out for 'eternal glory' and maybe that's why there's tension, but please can we get along for Cedric's sake." I stated, cutting through their awkwardness. Both boys nodded and gave small smiles.
Time to play Quidditch.

For about an hour we all played different positions on the pitch, mainly to test out Cedric's strengths in the game. He was a great Chaser but an excellent Seeker; he had caught the Snitch many times when versing Krum.
It was my turn to try be a Seeker against Cedric. We sped alongside each other near the ground, our eyes fixed on the golden ball directly in front of us. The Snitch switched position suddenly, causing Cedric to make a sharp turn however at my expense. The back of his broom pushed right into my side, causing me to tumble across the ground.
And that's why I prefer to be a Chaser.
Both guys quickly flew over, their eyes wide. "(Y/N), are you alright?" Cedric said as he stood over me, panic in his voice. "I'm fine," I replied, "I didn't fall from far. Help me up please." I extended my arm causing Cedric's strong grip to pull me up. Their faces expressed relief as they saw I wasn't in pain.
"It's Slytherin's turn to practice." An unknown voice said behind us. I turned to see a few Slytherins in their uniform, the newest brooms in their hands. They didn't even wait for us to respond before they mounted their brooms and started to play. Blaise and Draco were also part of the group and were getting ready to start. Draco looked in my direction quickly before flying off to join the others.
"(Y/L/N), are you ok? We saw you fall when we were walking on the pitch." Blaise said as he prepared his broom.
"Yeah I'm fine, thank you for asking." I answered as he smiled and joined the others.
So Draco saw me hurt myself and couldn't even be bothered to ask me how I was.
Now that's pathetic.

Hermione and Ron paced in front of me and Ginny, arguing as usual. I crossed my arms, closing my denim jacket tightly over my white hoodie as we walked quickly towards the lake.
"Why don't you just go talk to him yourself?" Hermione pleaded with Ron. We had reached the beginning of the lake where Harry was sitting against a tree with Neville who was examining the plants which lived in the lake.
