10. Night Patrol

Kyoko went into work and did what she needed to do as normal. She went on her normal route with Shiro and made sure her area was safe. The rest of the day was normal until the sunset, she was about to go home when Endeavor and Hawks approached her.

"Phoenix?" Endeavor called out to her

"Yeah?" Kyoko answered

"I need you to go on a night patrol with Hawks,"

"Why?"

"I don't have time to explain, can you just do it?"

Kyoko sighed, "Alright."

"Good," Endeavor walked away from the two heroes

Hawks smiled at Kyoko, "Hey, kid."

Kyoko smiled back at Hawks, "Did you ask Endeavor to make me go on a night patrol with you?"

"Nope, he asked me out of the blue to do this so you're not the only one confused as hell."

"Did he tell you why?"

"Yeah, remember that Nomu attack from a couple weeks ago?"

"The one that put me in the hospital? Of course," Kyoko said with a tint of sarcasm 

Hawks smiled and continued,"Well, there has been reports on Nomu sightings downtown."

"Nomu sightings?"

"Yes, residents have been reporting hearing strange, terrifying noises around abandon buildings, huge shadowy figures, and properties being destroyed. We aren't sure if it was any Nomus but it's a high possibility."

"I see but why did Endeavor chose us to do it?"

"Wings, duh." Hawks flapped his red wings, "He wants us to sore through the sky and make sure there are no Nomus."

"Right, well then, let's do this!" Kyoko out on her mask and hood and walked outside with Hawks. The two heroes went to the downtown area and looked around for awhile, there was no sign of anything so they hid out on the top of one of the abandon buildings and watched for any strange activity. Hawks flew around one more time to double check, Kyoko didn't fly with him because her wings gave off light and would blow their cover so she just stayed on the building. When Hawks got back he just sat down as Kyoko looked around.

"So how has your day been?" Hawks asked Kyoko

Kyoko turned to him, "It was fine, yours?"

"It was good."

Awkward silence fell between them, they had no idea what to talk about. Kyoko began to regret going along with this night patrol with Hawks.

"So..." Hawks began

"So?"

"How's your hair?"

Kyoko turned to him, "What kind of question is that?"

"I don't know, I'm trying here!"

Kyoko laughed and went over to him, sitting next to him. "Since we're going to be here for a while, we better think of somethings to talk about."

"Right." Hawks thought for second, "You wanna play twenty questions?"

"Sure, Let's add something to it. We can ask each other any question no matter what question it is, for every question that you refuse to answer you owe the person who asked you the question five bucks."

Hawks nodded, "Let's do it."

"You got first."

"Ok," Hawks thought of some good personal questions, "Are you a virgin?"
