Welcome to my world
I'm sorry there's not much to see
But if you can find the right place
You can come and stay with meWelcome to my world
As you can see it's rather bland
But if you can think of something
To give it a fair shine
I'll be glad to give you a handWelcome to my world
I'd like to say it's lost it's way
But I suppose I'd be imposing
That there was a time when it was great
And the walls were closing in
And I couldn't save it from the fall
But if I'm trying not to lie
I'd say they were never up at allWelcome to my world
I know it's all okay
You know that I'm fine
Though I tell it like a lie
Sitting still
Waiting for a wave to come
On the shore beneath the burning sun
Too bright
But I won't put up a fight
Oh, no
Somehow it'll be alrightI had my dreams
In a bottle
And I sent it off to sea
On the river, painful blue
On a sparkling golden day
Hoping the way of the stream
Would lead it to the ocean
And with the only motion
That day
I sent it off to sail away
Now it's washed ashore
Somewhere nearby
And I opened it to find
Not my lost time
Oh, the clock you can't rewind
Now I think
That I think
It's gonna be a while till I die
And another while till I die
Sometimes the reaper doesn't
Care to do business with
Someone who doesn't
Seem to find him so malicious
But I know
Oh that I don't know
It's going to be good long while till I goSo say goodbye to my world
I'm sorry that we have to go so soon
But I think it's for the best
Cause we put it to the test
And it's changing like the phases of the moon
Maybe I can stay with me and you
And maybe I can enter some world new
If there will be something new
Maybe I can live through something new~With cringe and vomit even at a satire,

PoesiaHas anyone done this yet? Probably, but here I go anyways. If I try searching for some poetry gems written after about 1950, what do I find? I'll call them word-turds. They are what they sound. So, in order to keep me from going insane, I wrote this...
