"Go fish." She yelled triuphantly.
"Shit." I muttered picking up what seemed to be my 100th card. It was just Leah, Letty and Me. Ryder had to work and Issy and Aiden were going on their big date. Well they'd been going out a lot, so I guess this classified as "another date".
Issy was nervous as hell, and Aiden even more. When he turned up we played some Far Cry, because Issy wasn't ready. He started asking me whether or not I was really okay with . . . them. But when he saw Issy you could see everyone else's judgements thrown out the window.
"Travis?" Leah was clicking in front of my eyes, bringing me to reality. Letty had left the room so it was just Leah and I, less than a metre apart.
"Yeah?"
"I asked whether or not you had any . . ."
Please don't say 3, 6, 7 or jack.
"6?"
"Damn." I sighed giving her the card, thus ending the game. "How'd you know I had a six?" I asked as she boastfully counted her pairs.
"It's a secret." She sang with a smile.
"Really?"
"No, you accidentally showed me your cards when you were in a daze." She burst out laughing. Like hysterical giggles.
I rolled my eyes playfully and picked her up off her feet, throwing her over my shoulder.
"Fuck! Travis put me down." She yelled as I walked out the backyard.
"Bad choice of words, Sunshine!" I yelled with a laugh.
"No! Travis wai-" her reply was cut off by the waters edge. He'd thrown himself and Leah into the water. I started laughing when I reached the surface. But I started choking on water when Leah reached the surface and splashed my face.
"Woah." our heads turn to see Letty, looking like she was holding in giggles. "I leave you too alone for two minutes." I grinned at her. "Well Ryder is off work so do you guys mind if I go and meet up with him?"
"Not at all." Leah smiled climbing out of the pool. Letty nodded before running off. Leah turned back to face me as I sent her a cheeky grin and pushed myself out of the pool. Her eyes stared greedily at my now see through white t-shirt. She bit her lip when she realized what she was doing. I winked at her causing her to laugh.
Soon we were both wrapped up in towels, watching "Titanic". This may make me sound like a girl but, dude Rose could've made room for him on that plank of wood. HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DIEE. Selfish. Bitch.
Anyway.
I looked over at Leah, who I assumed would look like she was going to burst from tears. However that was just me, her grin made my heart jump.
"You're crying!!" She laughed pausing the screen, where leonardo dicaprio was sinking. I rolled my eyes.
"I was not! I just got dust in my eye. Besides you're a heartless person, how could you not cry?"
She shrugged, yet failed he attempt to keep herself from laughing. We were close now, too close than we probably should have been.
Oh fuck it.
