Twins actually run in my family.
My Dad was a twin. Then his dad before that, and then his dad before that. Well thas what my aunt Felicity told Isabelle and I when we were 13. And they were all 1 boy and 1 girl. I guess I thought it was interesting, when I was 13. At the time I got annoyed and didn't want to talk about my dad.
As they finished singing happy birthday to Isabelle and I we blew out the candles and mum took a photo. Cake in the morning of our birthday was a tradition, Aunt felicity said my dad would do it for mum while he was alive. I picked up my phone. I laughed when I saw my best friends text at the top of the list.
Aiden - OH MY GOD HE'S 16! ! ! Happy birthday Travisss!
Cat - Happy Birthday T!
Logan - Mate 16 happy bday
Conner - Happy Birthday Dude!
Laetitia - Happy birthday cuz x
Luke - 16th m8 hv a gewd one
Natalie - Happy Birthday xx
Leah - Happy birthday Trav, have a good day!
Even one from Isabelle's bestfriend Leah. They've been bestfriends since birth as Aiden and I have. She had one of those crazy personalities, where she seemed to be quiet at first. Tall, blue eyed, blonde haired beauty. Typical, cliche hottie. Yet the most modest non vain easy going girl ever. And I think thats what Isabelle liked most about her, what we all did. She was . . . is beautiful. Not that I thought she was hot or anything, I mean she was my younger sisters (younger by two minutes) bestfriend. I mean it wouldn't be right.
"Travis?" My mum said, bringing me back to reality. I shook my head to get the thoughts of Leah out of my mind. Issy would kill me if i told her about them. I looked back to my mother. Isabelle looked like her. Mums blonde hair cascaded around her face in waves the same way Issy's did. Issy's eyes were dads though, the same way I had mums. I didn't like the fact I looked like dad. It made me feel a bit . . . I don't know. Uneven. And whenever mum said I looked like him she said it with so much pride. Making me terrified of the disappointment I could cause.
"Yeah Mum?" I replied looking back down to my phone. "Whats up?". She sighed.
"Your lunch is on the counter, I have to get to work. Isabelle has waterpolo so at i'll pick her up at six and pick some chinese for dinner, okay?" She asked.
"Yeah Yeah. Isabelle. Chinese. Six" I said shoving my phone in my pocket. I kissed her on the cheek, grabbed my lunch and started my walk to the bus stop. Isabelle did the same. \
"Bye Ma" I heard Issy say. She caught up to me, clutching onto my arm and begging me to slow down. I groaned as I glanced back at Issy who just smiled happily at me.
"Happy Birthday" She laughed. "You left before I could say it".
I smiled apologetically. "Sorry. Happy Birthday Iss!" I chanted enthusiastically earning a laugh. She smiled and nudged me. I nudged her back.
