Wilson closed the door on the time machine. He'd tried getting back to Halle but hadn't been able to. Realizing that time was of the essence, he closed the door on the time machine, buckled himself in, and set the time back to where they'd gone before. Did anyone record the time? He didn't know. He could only guess. He recorded it now and would have to erase a few seconds off. He felt a tingling sensation down his back, familiar to what he'd felt the first time he'd left but not nearly like what he'd felt when they'd gone back to change the life of Dr. King.
Looking around, Jalen, Michael, and Meredith were all staring at him. They'd decided to leave Brooke behind. She hadn't gone before so there was no need to involve her further. Besides they couldn't measure any side effects if they had no one to compare themselves with.
"Wilson, look," Jalen said pointing to the cell phone screen that served as their time piece.
The date was May 14, 2063.
"You've gotta be kidding me," Wilson exclaimed.
"Bruh, we didn't go back in the past. We literally went back to the future," Jalen told him.
