Time was running low as the lady wrote down an address on a piece of yellow notebook paper. She handed the paper to Five, who immediately scanned it.
"He was taken there after he started arguing with me for free food." The lady told Five with a serious expression.
"What is this place?" Five looked up from the paper to the ladyp.
"It's a mental hospital." The lady said.
"Well, we better get going. We only have about 4 hours left." Five folded the paper and shoved it into his pocket.
"It takes an hour to get there on foot, so you'd better." The lady put the notebook in a drawer. Five nodded a farewell to the lady before walking out of the door, followed by Nine.Their legs started to hurt about halfway. Nine stumbled behind Five a few feet.
"The faster we walk, the more of a chance the world won't get executed, Number Nine." Five didn't bother to look back at him.
"What if the lady was lying to us?" Nine sniffled.
"Well, let's hope she isn't." Five breathed steam from his mouth and nose.
"What if she is?" Nine asked again, this time walking a bit faster.
"Then the this dimension along with the over world will be executed." Five told him, still looking straight ahead.
"And what does that mean?" Nine shivered and clattered his teeth.
"It means that everybody in this dimension and in the over world will die. Even the dimensions will be non-existent. They will all-" Five made a little 'poof!' sound. "Disappear." Five squinted his eyes to try to look past the thick fog. "Just like a magic trick." Five explained, looking back at Nine who was looking at him with concern built up in his green eyes.
"Just like a magic trick, huh? What about us? Will we die too?" Nine asked Five, who turned back around to face ahead.
"If you stay close to me, you won't die." Five pulled the sleeves of his jacket over his hands.
Nine looked at the dirt he was walking on.Soon enough they were there; with only a few hours to spare. They rushed into the hospital and ran up to the front desk.
"We are looking for a teenager who has brown hair and green eyes. He came in here wearing a brown buttoned shirt." Five explained quickly.
"I need a name." The person mumbled.
"He would've said his name was Seventeen." Five told him.
"Who are you to them?" The guy looked at Five and Nine, who both had panic in their eyes.
"Siblings." Nine spoke.
"Please wait over there." The guy pointed to a small waiting room. Five and Nine walked over to the waiting room.
Nine sat down in one of the chairs.
"How long is this gonna take?!" Five ripped off his coat and put it on the chair next to Nine.
"Let's hope not long." Nine watched Five frustratedly sit down on top of his coat.
"If this takes more than an hour I'm breaking through security and retrieving him myself." Five growled as he leaned forward in his chair.
"We've been sitting here for a whole 10 seconds, calm down." Nine looked up at the tv in the corner of the ceiling.
"I just need some time to think, that's all." Five grabbed his hair and nearly yanked it out.
"You're insane." Nine said calmly, watching the small tv.
"Oh please." Five looked over to Nine.
"Five, you really are getting on my nerves." Nine strikingly looked at Five.
"I'm the one getting on your nerves? Look at you! Don't you care that all of the people we've ever known or loved is going to die?!" Five grabbed the arm rest of the chair and looked at Nine with glaring red eyes.
"Stop." Nine put his hand in front of Five's face so they couldn't see each other anymore. Five crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair.
"Maybe if you weren't so uneducated you'd actually understand the danger we're currently in." Five mumbled. Nine put his arm back on the arm rest and continued to watch the tv. More and more hours passed by.
"How long has it been?" Nine mumbled in a tired wore out voice. Five turned his head over to the clock.
"We have 20 minutes until the world ends!" Five quickly stood up.
"Woah, what?!" Nine gasped and watched Five panic.
"This is it! We're done!" Five threw his hands up.
"Five!" Nine grabbed his arm. "Do what you do best."
"Well, according to you, that's nothing." Five looked over to Nine and smiled.
"Teleport!" Nine yelled at the sarcastic teen.
Five's eyes widened as he teleported him and Nine to the hallway with all of the rooms in it.
"15 more minutes." Five told Nine as they quickly walked down the hallways.
"Are you guys supposed to be out here?" One of the workers grabbed their arms.
"Let us go!" Five resisted. He broke out from the workers arms.
"Five!" Nine tried to reach for him, but couldn't.
"Number Nine!" Five watched the worker slowly pull Nine away. "Save the world!" Nine cried. Five watched the worker punch Nine in the stomach and pull his limp body down the hall away from Five.
"12 more minutes." Five said before sprinting down the hall. He skidded the corner and saw more workers. He ran towards them and teleported through them. They all watched his fascination as Five ran away. As soon as Five thought he was free, a worker tackled him to the ground. They both fought on the floor. Five teleported away from the tussle. He looked over down one of the halls and saw the worker dragging Nine. He ran over to punched the worker. They let go of Nine and stumbled to the ground. Five stomped on their chest, knocking them out. He dragged Nine to the corner.
"9 more minutes." He whispered after he glanced at the clock. Nine was knocked clean out. Five started lightly slapping his face.
"Wake up." Five told him. His eyes started to slowly open.
"My belly hurts." Nine mumbled.
"Let's go!" Five tried to pull Nine up to his feet.
"I can't.. I don't even know where I am." Nine flopped over on the floor. Five sat down next to Nine. He closed his eyes tightly and grabbed his legs. He tucked his head into his knees. Nine hoisted himself up to sit next to Five.
"What's wrong, buddy?" Nine asked him. Five looked at the ceiling, tears pouring down his rosy cheeks.
"I just want to be a hero!" Five cried out loud. Nine looked at the marble floors and sighed.
"You are a hero, Five. It's just nobody knows it yet." Nine looked over to the balling kid.
"I'm nothing! I was raised to be nothing!" Five sobbed.
"Nothing?!" Nine widened his eyes at the sight of the sobbing child.
"Just like the others say. I'm useless! The only reason you guys keep me around is if the lab finds us!" Five ran the back of his hand over his cheek, wiping the tears off.
"Five, you can literally teleport. You know what I can do? See X-rays of people. That's so boring compared to what you can do!" Nine tried to hype Five up. Five kept quiet this time.
"We have 5 minutes left if you still wanna be a hero." Nine smiled at Five, who was staring at one of the lights in the ceiling. Five looked over to Nine and smiled.
"Then stop being so lazy and let's go." Five stood up and helped Nine get to his feet. They both ran down the hall. They checked in each room.
"3 minutes!" Nine called to Five. Five nodded and ran faster. They kept on checking every room they passed.
"2 minutes!"
Time was running low, but their motivation was sky high.
"1 minute!"
They started checking them faster.
"30 seconds!"
Their hands started to get soar from opening all of the doors.
"15 seconds."
They finally opened one that had a teenager that looked exactly like Seventeen sitting on the bed.
"Five?!" Seventeen smiled.
"No time!" Five grabbed Nine and Seventeen. They managed to dimension jump away at the last millisecondsThe End
