Dipper looked at the man as he got up from the chair and walked over to his hospital bed. He felt especially wary, a voice on his head not his own saying "trust no one." He had no idea who the voice belonged to, but the 'body who had been through a lot and knew their stuff. "Do you really not remember me?" The man told him in a pained whisper.

"Im sorry, I dont. But I must mean a lot to you, dont I?" I said, looking the man in the eyes. "Your my son, you've been my whole world since your mother left, taking your sister with her. You've helped me so much, even when i started working more and spending less time with you, you never complained." He said starting to tear up.

"Then I came home from work one day after working a late shift, and your car was gone. I went to your room and some of your stuff was missing. I went out looking for you, but you werent in town. Then I got a call from the gravity falls hospital.." He choked up then, tears falling from his face onto my hospital bedsheets. Awkwardly, I put my hand on his shoulder. "Hey, im fine now, arent I?" I said trying to cheer up the man who was my father. "Ill try to get my memories back, and then everything will be fine!" I said, giving him a hopeful smile.

"Thanks Mason.." he said, looking a bit more cheerful now. "So thats my name?" I asked him. "Yes, I picked it out myself.."he said. "Thats... nice.." I said akwardly. The doctor then came in. "Alright then Mason, I just need to run a few tests, and then well decide if your ready to leave or if you need rehab." I frowned at that. I felt perfectly fine, except for the unsettling abscence of personal memories.

*SIX HOURS AND A LOT OF TESTS LATER*

"Miraculously, only your personal memories seem to be affected. You dont seem to have forgotten any logic or unpersonal memories. And all your injuries healed very quickly. Consider yourself very lucky, Mason." The doctor said. I nodded. "You are free to go. Be safe." The doctor said.

I jumped up and ran out to the waiting room where my dad was. Running felt really, really good. He stood up, and embraced me. At first i stiffned, but the embrace felt familiar, so I returned it. After we broke off, he handed me a backpack covered in a forest landscape, with lots of deer. I did a bit of a double take, as that was the backpack Soul had described.

"This was the backpack you had with you.. Its your favorite one, you always had it with you, you bought it with your money from your afternoon job. You had an junior scientist job, helping out scientists doing stuff. You always had a passion for science.. science and supernatural stuff...When you were 13 you used to draw gnomes, fairies, demons, that sort of stuff. You insisted they were real, and they did look really lifelike.. You draw better than me." My dad told me with tears in his eyes.

"But that wasnt the most ridiculous thing.. Ever since you came back from spending a summer in this town with your great uncle, youve had an intense fear of triangles... I dont know what triggered it. Anyways, I should take us home now.." he said. "Wait.." I said. He looked at me confused. "If I came here, it must be for a reason, right? I dont think I would have come here without a reason. If im so logical, I must have been trying to do something, and I want to figure out what."

My dad looked at me for a long moment. Then he smiled, a small smile. "If thats what you want, then okay. If you belive it could help you, we can move here to gravity falls as soon as i find a good job nearby, find a house here, and can sell our house." He said. I couldnt help myself, I hugged him again. "Thank you." I told him. I slid out of the moment, and realized everyone was staring at us.

I shrugged at them, and turned back to my dad. "We should go check out now, so we can get started." I said. He nodded, and he paid at the front desk. We walked outside, and he got into a small red car. So i got into the passenger seat. I put my hand into the front part of the backpack, and felt it there. A small jewelry case. I took it out, and opened it up. The necklace had a sun, covered by clouds. I guess it was symbolic?

I fastened it around my neck, and a ripple of power ricketed through me. I gasped slightly, but luckily my dad didnt notice. I held the charm gingerly in my hand, and whispered the words so quietly I didnt belive my dad would notice. "ɟoɹɯ ʇɹnə ɯʎ ɥıpə sonlsɥıɟʇəɹ" I whispered, appalled I could replicate Souls words exactly. "Good job, Fawn." I heard Soul whispering in my ear. I chuckled slightly at the accurate pet name. I settled back in my seat, ready for the drive back to wherever I came from.

*Authors Note*
Finally, I got that over with! Again, im sorry for being gone so long, its just that my health hasnt been all that great lately and before that I was occupied with schoolwork, and everything was just hectic. I also had a fight with my best friend and im really stressed... So ive been putting this chapter off.

I realized that writing is actually really relaxing, so ill try to write more often, maybe even get out at least one short chapter a week? I hope so. This story has to be set up for the billdip, so im glad you guys are so patient! I have big, big plans for this story though, so im not going to abandon it anytime soon. Also if anyone has any ideas for what I should draw for the cover that would be great if you could comment them, because im kinda stumped. Thanks for all of your support! I also edited a few of the previous chapters to help this flow better, so you can re read those.
