Chapter 23 - Punishment

Razia's POV:

I was striding away from the event and heard someone call my name.

No, it was not Aayan. It was Asha tai.

I couldn't control myself, threw my arms around her and broke down, I didn't knew what to say, what to do, I dealt with the most horrible people in my life but atleast they showed what they really are, but Aayan? I so want to delete all those moments from my heart that we captured together.

' Razia, leave me.' She said sternly.

' I so selflessly loved him and he stabbed me at the back Asha tai.' I said unable to register what she just said to me when she pushed me away.

I saw her wide eyed. what was wrong with her?

' You? You loved him selflessly Razia? I was always so proud of you girl, I thought you are brilliant minded but you are selfish and a dumbass.' She said laughing bitterly.

I kept on looking at her with the expression of confusion all over my face. I have never saw her that furious!

' Stop looking at me like you don't know anything.' She scolded.

' Because I really don't know what is wrong with you. ' I said frowning.

' Oh really? I saw everything Razia, how you treated Aayan right now.' She snapped.

' But I saw him....'

' Oh shut up and let me finish.' She yelled. ' Just like this, you didn't see the whole thing and predicted that the boy is a cheat? Really? I can't believe, you are so dumb.' She said palming her face.

' What do you mean?' I asked with the gamut of curiosity and embarassment pounding inside me.

' He didn't do anything wrong, they totally framed him. He met that Jai some 12 years ago in a fair, only at once and he didn't even knew what kind of person he really is. He just remembered him and went to meet him.' She explained without a single pause.

' Oh shit! Where is he now?' I was hating myself now. How can I even think of him like that. In so many years, he has been my support system and always had a blind faith in me and helped me to be an independent woman and I doubted him.

' When I came after you he was chasing them both.' She told me.

It suddenly sunk into me and my eyes widened with the realisation. I looked back around the corners and saw the guards, It means that he is alone? Oh no!

I ran towards the direction of the setting of the event. There were many people over there, talking and laughing but I could not see Aayan. I gathered all the guards and went to find him. I so want to kill Jai and Raghav. And yes, I also deserve a punishment as well.

' Go, check the whole place, every corner of this house.' I yelled at the guards.

We have searched for him everywhere but could not find him. I don't know what to do. I would never forgive myself if something happens to him. I was feeling so disturbed and was hating myself. I have never felt like this for anyone. He could have yelled at me, but he didn't. He gave me everything but never demanded anything in return and what did I do?

Oh god, how am I going to forgive myself.

We were all tired of the hunt and suddenly, some realisation stuck me. I told the guards to come with me and reached that place, and I was right. He was there.......but will he be?
