2- bonding moment 2.0

He was done! He was finally back home on Earth in Cuba! Oh how he had missed this! Family dinner every night, hugs and cuddles, and most importantly, the whole family itself!

Though there was a bittersweet feeling to it all.. The only reason he was here, his family was here, literally all that existed only existed because Allura sacrificed herself..

He missed her so, so, so much..! They had just finally figured out exactly what their feelings for each other had been too! 'But she knew what she was doing when she left.. She knew we would be here to follow her dreams and bring everything back to as close as normal could be!'

And they had!

The rest of team Voltron was doing something that expanded peace and knowledge across the universe! Even Hunk believe it or not!

Pidge and her brother worked at the Garrison creating new things all the time!

The Galra had elected government officials and were working to restore everything.

And Keith... Well he was still doing dangerous space missions.. Every chance he got it would seem Keith would throw himself into danger and be willing to sacrifice himself for others, but right now in this moment, Keith was with him.

With Lance.

He didn't really know why but Keith had come to him when he got back! Right now they were outside in a field, under a tree, and under the stars.

"No matter how many times I see it, I'm always surprised by the beauty of the stars.." Keith had stated looking up at the sky with Lance.

"Me too, Mullet." Lance replied smirking and glanced back at a now agitated Keith

"Oh come on Lance! It's even tied back now!" Said mullet man retorted.

"I'm kidding! I'm kidding! You just still give a hilarious reaction!" Lance said in between laughs.

When Lance had stopped laughing and opened his eyes he saw Keith starring at him smiling. Like, one of his genuine smiles not just a fake one or a smirk, a big, genuine smile.

"Only you can call me mullet, got it?" Keith said

"Got it Mr. Mullet!" Lance replied saluting Keith which made them both roll on their backs laughing.

After settling down they both laid back against the tree and continue star gazing.

"You miss her don't you?" Lance tensed up he knew this was going to come up eventually..

"Yeah.." He replied softly starting to tear up a bit.

He guessed Keith had noticed this because he was now being cradled and hugged tightly, something rare, very rare from Keith.

"Lance I feel like I should tell you something.." Keith said while moving so he could look at Lance

"What is it?"

"I get you still aren't over Allura and you may never be but I need to get this off my chest.."

Lance gulped before telling him to continue.

"Everytime I rush into a fight, your the person I want to win and survive the battle for!"

Lance stared in shock as Keith continued while now figuring with Lance's fingers.

"I think.." He hesitated and took a deep breath before continuing

"I know, I love you. And I think I have for a while."

If Lance said his cheeks were pink that would be an understatement!

Lance just stared at Keith for a few seconds then blinked twice before closing the gap between them. It wasn't a lustful kiss, just loving. They had both been waiting for this even if they hadn't realized it.

But there is this thing called air that humans need so they can breathe so they sperated their lips and just hugged and cuddled.

After about 30 minutes they had ended up with Lance in between Keith's legs and leaning back on his chest, their legs intertwined and Lance running his hands through Keith's hair.

"Keith"

"Hm?"

"This is a second bonding moment isn't it"

"YOU DO REMEMBER! WHY YOU LITTLE-"
