Nathan's POV

"Jay what the fuck are you talking about?" I asked the crying man on the other end of the line.

"Nath I don't know what happened. We were finishing the conversation that we were having this morning when you and Sophie left. Our voices got raised and that was it. I never yelled at her, like she was at me. I mean it might have gotten a little out of hand and I could have stopped it if I wasn't such an arse, but I never thought this would happen." Jay continued to cry into the phone.

"Jay just tell me everything that happened. Are you at the hospital?" I asked grabbing Sophie's hand and already making my way there.

"Yeah mate I just got here. I don't know what happened. After our little fight she was complaining about stomach aches, a headache, feeling nauseas, and she was complaining that her contacts were irritating her eyes and messing with her vision. I just thought it was some fluke pregnancy thing and I told her to just ignore it and it will go away sooner or later. She for some dumb reason actually listened to me this time and went to work on getting the nursery ready for the boys by putting their clothes away. She must have been sorting out the different outfits first because she was in there for a while before she came out to yell at me for not having the dresser put together though she has asked me hundreds of times. I was always just too busy doing stuff with you lads or I'd rather of just gone out drinking. She came out and started yelling at me and being the proper dick that I am I started yelling back. Then she just collapsed and I tried to get her to wake up. Oh God Nathan I tried so hard but she wouldn't wake up and then I called the ambulance and they came and got her and we went to the hospital and now I'm sitting here crying to you because they still haven't got her to wake up and they're talking about something called eclampsia that they think she might have and Oh God Nathan if she never wakes up then it's my fault and I killed them." Jay rambled on in between his sobs.

Jay's POV

After I hung up with Nathan the doctor came out looking for me.

"Family of Carter Jones?" He asked stopping at the front of the waiting room. I raised my hand to signal to him since I was already standing. The doctor walked up to me and motioned for us to sit down.

"So it seems that Carter sufers from Eclampsia. It only occurs in about 1 out of every 2,000 to 3,000 pregnancies. Now the Eclampsia is still not well understood, but her genetics could have played a part of it. Plus it being her first pregnancy, a teenage pregnancy, and a multople pregnancy increase the chances of having Eclampsie. Our records also show that she has had some kidney proplems in the past and a family history of diabetes and high blood pressure all of which add to the chance of having Eclampsia. Now you said she was suffering from some symptoms of eclampsia such as Severe agitation, headaches, stomach pain, vision problems, nausea, swelling of the hands and face, gaining more than 2 pounds per week, and of course unconsciousness. Now the goal with people that have Eclampsia is to be able to deliver the babies between 32 and 34 for weeks. Carter has already reached that point, so when she wakes up we would like to get the babies out as soon as possible." The doctor explained to me.

"So she will wake up?" I asked him.

"Yes as long as nothing else happens. However there is always a small chance of something going wrong. " The doctor said. I nodded my head affraid of breaking down again if I spoke.

As the doctor left to go check on another patiant Nathan and Sophie walked in and rushed over to me. I clued them in on what was happening and then a nurse lead us to Carter's room a few hours later. She still had yet to wake up. We ended up spending the rest of the night in her hospital room with little change from Carter. In the morning Sophie forced me to go home and change saying that 'no friend of mine is going to wake up to find her boytoy looking like shit.' To be honest I didn't think I looked that haggard, not that I cared when it came to Carter lying unconscience in a hospital bed. Nathan being the good mate he is said he would join me while Sophie stayed at the hospital so she could contact us as soon as something changed with Carter.

Sophie POV

I sat there beside Carter's bed as the boys left the room. I looked at her remebering all the fun times we had when we were younger. Everything from playing hide and seek on Carter's family's farm to going to crazy parties throughout highschool. Not to mention how the summer before senior year and all through senior year we practicly lived at each others houses. We would also go on vacation with each other and to family get-togethers.

For my 18th birthday Carter drove me and a few friends to a water park. It took like an hour to get there but it was totally worth it. On the way there we were playing an alphabet game. At the water park there were slides and a zipline that you could go on and land in the water. Whenever someone else would go on the zipline I would yell 'Do a flip!' no one would actually do it but it was fun to yell at them. When we went to the picnic area for lunch I ended up getting locked in the trunk; don't ask but there might have been alcohol involved (friends with older siblings sometimes come in handy). That was a great day. We probably won't have many more like that since Carter got knocked up. Oh well at least I will get to play with cute little babies now!

Jay's POV

I did feel much better as I stepped out of the shower and started to dry myself off. It was nice to feel clean and not smell like BO. As I put on my pants and trousers I could hear Nathan in the kitchen trying to make us breakfast so we could eat before heading back to the hospital since he already took a shower in the other bathroom. I was surprised that for once he was ready first. I walked out into the kitchen not bothering to put a shirt on yet, it is my flat after all. As I walked in I could see that Nathan took the easy route and made cereal.

"Thanks mate." I said as I sat down infront of my bowl and began to eat. Nathan just nodded his head in acknowledgement.

"She's going to be alright mate. She has to be." Nathan spoke up with a gloomy expression on his face.

"Yeah we'll make it through this." Jay said halfheartedly.

"Carter is strong. If anyone could pull through this it would be her. You just got to have some faith Bird. Have some faith in your fience mate." Nathan tried to confert me but in reality it just made me feel more like an arse because it just proved that I had little faith in Carter. I mean I never once thought that she would end up making out of this. What kind of person does that make me?

"Jay don't beat yourself up mate." Nathan tried to confert me. "Here let's listen to the radio that always helps to cheer you up."

As soon as Nathan turned on the radio he grimised. What was playing on the radio was not music at all but a news report and the story was about how Carter was in the hospital. Of course this would be national news since She is going to become Mrs. Jay McGuiness. though the press hasn't actually got that story yet they are just guessing. Plus there is the fact that she is caring two little McGuiness boys inside her. The radio person mentioned how by now the rest of the members of The Wanted were there along with some of my family members. The question the reporter had was not about how Carter was doing but where the bloody hell I was and why I wasn't by Carter's side when she needed me.

"For Christ sakes! Can't these people mind their own bloody buisness? If I could I would beat the shit out of those motherfuckers!" I yelled in frustration.

"JAY!" Nathan yelled trying to get my attention. I hadn't notcied that he was trying to get my attention throught my whole rant. "Your phone is going off." He pointed to my phone that was laying on the table. I walked over to it and picked it up.

"It's Sophie." I whispered before opening it and reading the message.

"What is it?" Nathan asked. I coouldn't respond for my heart was breaking into a million peices.
