"Ma!.. Ma!.. ", Kritika shouted. " What happened Kritu?", her mother replied.
"Mamman, I told you not to give me boiling tea. And, still you didn't listen. It's my first day in Sinoyat University!", said Kritika in a displeased tone.
" Kritika, it's just lukewarm. You can just gulp it down ", said her mom. " Drink it fast and go", she added.
Okay, so, Kritika is about to enter into a new university with new hopes, hopes to make friends, 'good' friends rather.
She choked down the milk and sat in her private van as fast as she could. On reaching the university, her heart was filled with a lot of emotions. She was happy, scared, anxious, excited and nervous, all at the same time. She was apprehensive that she'll not be able to make good friends and will end up spending time alone.
"Students, we have with us a new admission, Ms. Kritika Singh. It is a transfer case, so don't puzzle your mind everyone. She'll be in this batch of 4th semester students of M.Tech.", announced a head professor.
All the people were least interested in knowing who she was and where she had been before, if she wanted some help, nothing. Not even a single person wished her. The expectations of making new friends seemed to be running away from her.
It was the last lecture of the day when the HOD announced that there will be a shuffle of students and no one seemed to be pleased with the decision. But, this didn't make any difference to Kritika.
She came back home and shared her experience to the only one who loved her, her ma.
Though, she always had her mother by her side, she wanted a 'friend' as well, someone with whom she could feel loved and valued.
Her mother gave her, her medicines and she slept.
The next day, she didn't dress up well as she did on the first day because she knew her university life can never be like others. For her, it is just for the sake of lectures!
It was 12 in the noon when she felt like eating something and went to the big old cafeteria and made her order. She was sitting in the corner with her eyes closed, waiting for her order to get ready.
It was more than 15 minutes now, but there was no sign of her order to be ready. She asked the canteen management but no one answered her and she again sat in the corner with a disappointed face.
"I think you are not used to all this. Are you seriously waiting for your order to come? ",someone said from her backside in a surprising tone.
Guys, the character's name that I'm using i.e Kritika will be the female lead and her actual name would be SHEHNAAZIKA SINGH GILL. How? That will be soon revealed. 🙏
