~you can't run from love~

-Readers POV-

I am a Ravenclaw and I'm best friends with the only person who can stand me. Cedric Diggory. A Hufflepuff. May Merlin forgive anyone who hurts or offends him because I won't and I'll give them the embarrassment of a lifetime.

I'm actually the descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw. I know where her diadem is hidden and it will never be found. My wand is like her 11 ¼ inches Hawthorn with Sphinx hair core. I often chat with her, about school and family problems. Currently, though I am in the dining hall my nose in a book like always, nothing could ruin my peace.

or so I thought.

"How did I know you would be here? I don't know, maybe I do have your powers." I heard a certain Hufflepuffs voice that annoyed me to no end but I seemed to enjoy it. "Well, there goes my peace." I closed my book and rolled my eyes, "I roll my eyes at the knight Diggory." We've had this thing going on with knights and princesses since we were little. Yeah, we grew up together, "but princess Ravenclaw thy know it is true."

"Alright, Diggory what do you need?" He smiles and sits in front of me and I open my book up again. "Potion? Charm? Homework?" I asked just above a whisper. He however shook his head. "I'm gonna enter." I look up at him and roll my eyes at his childlike behavior. "Cedric think it through before you do it." He smirks as I turn a page. "well I already have." He got up and walked towards the cup and his friends started cheering him on. 'Cedric that is stupid you are putting your life on the line.' He looks back at me smiling and winks 'that's what knights do; they risk their lives for their princesses.' I roll my eyes. He puts his name and the flame accepts it. Sighing I get up and walk out with him and his lot.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his side. "Diggory if I had a dime for every dumb thing you did I would be part of the royalty by now." He chuckled because he pulled away from me and stepped in front of me, outstretching his hand out to me and bows. "All for the princess's hand." I rolled my eyes and smiled, "sadly this princess doesn't want her knight in shining armor to die." I said walking around him, he chuckled "always hard to impress you, my princess." I smiled and shook my head, but didn't look back. "Oh, Cedric if only you knew that you were impressed so long ago," I whispered to myself.

I head to the Ravenclaw common room. I'm sure not many know where it is so here you go. The entrance to the common room is located on the west side of Hogwarts at the top of a spiral staircase, presumably located on the fifth floor. I got to the portrait of my ancestor, "good afternoon Rowena." She eyed me up and down.

"You are well at concealing your feelings but you don't fool me, you're worried about that boy." I roll my eyes "I don't know what you're talking about." She smiled "you're in love." I look up at her and scoff "I am not, you are just hallucinating." She smiled "Helena has said he seems to fancy you. And he protects you and defends you." I nod and sit on the bench sighing.

"He entered the Triwizard championship." I found my feet quite Interesting. "So you are worried?" I nod, "wait since when do you and Helena get together to talk about my life?" I look up at her and she smiles "everyday dear." I roll my eyes ''of course." I look at my blue wedge heel. "What's the matter darling?" I look up to see Helena then a smile graces her face "it's that Diggory boy isn't it."

Rowena quickly filled her in and Helena seemed to be over the moon happy about my confession, I rolled my eyes "alright you two spill a word to him I'll find a way to end you again and please try and stay out of my life choices they are mine after all. understood?" They smiled and looked at each other "sure." I sigh and see the eagle knocker. "Where do Vanished objects go?" It asked, "Into nonbeing, which is to say, everything." The door opened and I walked into the common room and sat by the fire.

I looked into the fire and I couldn't help but see how warm and gentle it was. Like his smiles, he cheeky annoying smile that I somehow adore. "Your smiling." I heard Helena's voice "you don't do that often." I sigh, "you really like this fella don't ya?" I nod slowly. "Then go tell him before it's too late." I sigh and nod "I will." "A knight is nothing without his princess." I get up. "Where are you off to darling?" "To see him."

"So soon?" I nod "you two won't leave me alone till I do so. So I might as well." She smiled and floats away.

I walk out of the common room. Let's see where I can find Diggory? Well, it's sunny out so the courtyard.

I ran down the stairs and all the way to the courtyard, "Cedric!" I shouted once I saw him he stood up immediately "come with me." I grabbed his hand and began to run off to an empty corridor. "What's wrong tell me, princess please?" I smiled. I looked around us and then quickly stood on my tippy toes and pulled him down for a small kiss then I pulled away.

I smiled and started walking away. I left him stunned. 'Close your mouth Diggory a bat might mistake it for its cave.' I giggled as I turned and he had a mischievous smile on his face and then he came running at me making me squeal and run. But it was no use he caught up to me and held me from behind. He started kissing my neck playfully, making me laugh.

"Go with me to Hogsmeade." I tapped my chin thinking it over "hmm no." He let go "why not?" "Ask nicely and I'll rethink my answer." He chuckled "my darling princess would you please accompany me to Hogsmeade this weekend?" I smile "I would love nothing more knight Diggory." He smiled and pulled me in for a kiss. That I happily enjoyed we pulled away "let's stay like this forever?" I asked leaning my forehead on his and he nods his eyes close as if he were reminiscing on the kiss we just shared. "We will always have this moment."

"I have loved you since we met." He chuckled "and I have loved you for a thousand years." He chuckled again. I heard a picture being taken and looked over to see a blond boy. "I thought I would capture a sweet moment." I chuckled "it's alright Colin Creevey. Just make sure I get the picture I want to have for as long as I can remember," the little boy nods and runs off.

"Thought you were all serious no love Ravenclaw." He whispered in my ear making me laugh. "We all have our sides, Cedric."

"You better survive this damn bloody thing or I'll find a way to kill you again, understand?" He chuckles "that's the princess I know." I roll my eyes.

"I love you?"

"I love you."
