"Everyone welcomes the new foreign exchange student y/n l/n!" called dumbledor, and the doors swung open and skipped a girl popping gum and holding an actual bat. "hello. I do not wish to be here. how fast can I get expelled?" she quickly asked and curtsied making us all laugh. "I hear you are quite the trouble young lady, but you will not be expelled no matter what you do." she sighed and a smile popped to her face. "are you sure about that?" he nodded then she turned and inspected everyone till her eyes landed on me. "hi what's your name?" "oh uh James." she smiled sweetly sticking her hand out for me to shake and I did. "listen James I'm really sorry for what I'm about to do, also thanks." I was so confused, "what-" I felt something hit my side, and then another on my leg. "I'm really sorry this last one is gonna hurt." she hit me on my neck. soon I blacked out.

you're pov

"do I get expelled now?" I asked the headmaster, "a month's detention and taking care of him." I groan "why can't I ever just get expelled." I kick the guy on his stomach making him groan "oh shoot, sorry, guess your sacrifice didn't matter, I guess my punishment is fair." I sit in his seat. "so who are his friends?" three boys raise their hands and I nod, "I just wanna apologize I only did that to get expelled, but since it didn't work I'll just meet you all at the infirmary." I get up and grab the back of the boy's collar of his robes and start to drag him. mumbling to myself.

yes, I am very upset at not being expelled it's not that I don't want to become a witch it just my dad's been sick and I've been looking for ways to take care of him. I got to the infirmary and laid the kid in one of the bed's "hmm I'll get him some skele-gro." I fixed up a brew and came back to him I lifted his head, carefully, "open your mouth a little for me." I mumbled to him his mouth opened a little "this isn't gonna be the best thing you ever taste but it will help." I carefully poured some into his mouth and he swallowed it, this went on till he finished the small bowl.

I carefully laid his head back down. I put the stuff I used away and started humming as I covered him, I opened the window to let some breeze in. hearing a small groan come from the boy I look over to see him tossing and turning. he's still wearing his glasses I go and take them off putting them on the little nightstand. I finally took a good look at him, he's not bad looking quite cute really I brushed some of his hair out the way. I sat next to his bed, I would occasionally look over to him to see if he was awake.

soon the 3 boys I saw before came in, "what's up buttercup?" I ask them. "we came to check on him." I nod "I gave him some skele-gro, so his bones can get fixed. and I'll now be giving you some privacy so you can say what you wish to him in peace anything bad happens I'm outside. peace." I said to them as I got up and walked out the door. I sat down in the hall on a bench giving them their privacy, I start to hum a song from my favorite non-mag movie nightmare before Christmas by Tim Burton. yes, I know quite the contrary to most girls.

Sally's song has always been so soothing, I look out the window and the moons at its full bright mode quarter moon but still beautiful. maybe I can transfigure some time in the woods, I can transfigure into a black panther, it's really amazing. I should go see the headmaster, I found his office, and "good evening I just came for you to scold me, or whatever you need to do."

"I know what is going on at home. We can help."

I've been taking care of this jerk for a while and he's fully recovered. Yeah, I call him a jerk he is a bully and a bothersome guy. "Ok you're fully healed now we are even, make sure I don't break any more of your bones." He sniggered I rolled my eyes and I headed towards Hagrid's "hey Hagrid." "Oh hello, there y/n how er' you today?"

"I'm great Hagrid." "How is yer' problem?" I look down at my hand I was bitten by Hagrid's pet giant spider. "Meh, it's ok." "I'm really sorry bout him, he usually doesn't have many visitors." I smiled and shrugged it off and I picked up a basket, "I will go pick some berries Hagrid." He nods and I grab my red cloak and my flute, and I put on the hood. Off I went into the dark forest. I hummed a tune to myself, I said hello to a couple of creatures here and there, till I came to the bush of my favorite berries. "There we are, now I should pick some for Hagrid as well." I started picking the ripe ones, I hum and walk away and sit on a stump and begin to play my flute.

Soon a little squirrel came up to me asking me for water I nod and grabs my flask. Giving it some, "There you go little guy." It curled up on my shoulder making me giggle. I look up to see a doe, and a wolf playing, what odd behavior. Then I see a little rat playing with them and..... Remus? "Come on guy's we are gonna get caught!" They look at him and they roll their eyes, I almost giggled, I did however roll my eyes. I go walk back to Hagrid's knowing who those 4 were and exactly who was who. I smile as I got closer to Hagrid's that is until something grabbed my cape and pulled, carefully I got the squirrel and placed it on a branch.

Something pulled my cape again "hey you idiot why are you pulling on my cloak." I grabbed a branch and hit whatever it was. I turn and see Sirius in his animal form, he was whimpering. I sigh "Sirius I know it didn't hurt you, and you were the one pulling on my cloak in the first place." He stopped and growled, "you really don't want to do that Sirius." He jumped at me and I moved to the side making him hit a tree. "You have poked a panther." Taking off my cloak and transforming and roaring at him, he kneeled whimpering. I turn back to my human form putting on my cloak, I huff at him and extend my arm for the little squirrel that ran down my arm and I picked up my basket I look over to the doe.

"James keep your filthy dog on a leash. Have a nice day Remus." I didn't say anything to the coward of Peter, "also you three shouldn't hang out with such a coward who knows what he's capable of. Anyway on my merry way now." I made it back to Hagrid's mumbling and I'm sure Hagrid heard cause I heard him chuckle "so you really are upset. What happened?" I look up at him hanging my cloak up. "Oh nothing just got my cloak stuck on a branch and it ripped." He nodded "oh I picked some berries." He nods and placed some in a small bag for me. "I'll get going want to make it back before curfew." I grabbed the berries saying goodbye to Fang.

As I walk to my common room. Ravenclaw. I know, I am well respected though. "Hey!" I hear the annoying voice of James I keep walking pretending not to hear, "Hey! Y/n!" I still ignore hearing his steps fast approaching. That is till he touched my shoulder. "Hey, I was calling you." I look over "oh sorry didn't hear." "Strange I was shouting, well anyway I wanted to know if you would like to go out to Hogsmeade. With me." I look over my shoulder to see his friends laughing. "Potter, is this some sick joke?" I fully face Potter and push his chest making him fall in his butt. "I've broken your bones before and tolerated you for 2 weeks. I paid off my stupid debt with you." I huff and walk away. "Honestly what a jerk," I spoke loud enough for him to hear. Then I heard his friend Sirius and Peter cackle "told ya she wouldn't fall for it, she's smarter than that." I heard Remus tell him. So it was some sick joke, I can't believe him.

I stomp all the way to my room, my roommate was a nice girl and she saw my frustration. "What happened?" "Stupid potter he is tried to ask me out and I heard his friends say 'told you she wouldn't fall for it' are you kidding me he is so stupid." "It is ok. There are always more creatures that are worth your time." I smile I like this girl she has an airy never down to earth feel to her. I like her, I sometimes invite her to my house my dad thinks she strange but he likes her style. Her name is Pandora Malfoy. Lucius Malfoy's sister. Yeah, she's not like him surprisingly.

"Well, you know what I think?" "What is it you think pandora?" She smiled "I think if he truly likes you I can ask my brother for a favor." I thought about it. "Hmm alright."
