two days later...

as i got up this morning, i felt a burst of energy and i couldn't wait for today. i have a date with jace for lunch and then me and kaylie are going out for dinner. i'm getting ready and i hop in the shower quickly and then someone knocks on the door "hadley could you get out of the shower, you've been in there forever" holden says and i roll my eyes "yea yea whatever holden one sec" i say as i finish shaving my legs then hop out the shower. i decided to have two different looks today because why not. as i'm browsing for an outfit, i text jace to see what we're doing and he doesn't tell me but he does say that i need a swimsuit. so i put this on.

i throw my shirt on over my bikini top and then i start to straighten my hair. then someone knocks on my door "who is it?" i ask "it's jace" he says "come in" i say excitedly while i finish my hair "damn" he says while he bites his lip and i giggle. "now what are we doing" i say as i turn off my straightener and sit on us lap and put my legs around his torso. "you gotta wait" he says and i roll my eyes "you're no fun" i say and he laughs "let's go baby" he says as he stands up. i giggle as he carries me down the stairs and holden is standing in the kitchen "yuck" he says and i flip him off "shut the fuck up" i say as jace carries me out of the house "you look amazing hads" he says and i blush "ohh" he says in a flirty tone and i roll my eyes. "how long until we get there" i say as he pulls out of the driveway "we haven't even left your house yet" he says and i laugh "oops" i say while i giggling and he laughs while putting his hand on my thigh while he drives. after awhile i look up from my phone and i see a restaurant on the beach and i smile. "aww it's so pretty" i say as i open my door and hop out of the car. we walk up to the restaurant and we get seated as i scroll through tiktok, i see violet sitting with ava at a table and i stroll over there. "umm hello violet, can i talk to u for a second ava?" i ask and she nods while i talk her to the other side of the room. "what's up hadley?" she asks "what are you doing here with violet?" i question "she called, said it had to do with holden.. why what's up?" she asks nervously "she's bad news, i promise. she slept with holden while she was dating kaylie and that's why kaylie hates him, but he didn't know and i know holden would never want to ruin your relationship. it was like the titanic movie after you broke up with him, the ship was sinking into the ground and dying on the inside" she nods and hugs me as she leaves the restaurant and i walk back to violet "what we're you going to tell her?" i ask "that her boyfriend is a cheater" she says and i bite my lip "your the cheater violet" i say as i walk away and sit back down "what happened?" jace asks "violet happened" i say and he slowly nods "ohh" he says slowly "what's up?" i ask "nothing, just um. let's order" he stutters and i nod while taking a glance at the menu 'holden never would do that, but what about jace' i think and i send a text to holden hoping that what i was thinking was false but i didn't want to hear it out of holden, i wanted to hear it from jace's mouth so i quickly deleted the paragraph i wrote to holden and put my phone down. "jace are you talking to violet, tell me the truth" i say as i hold back the tears "no i finished it after you rejected me, i seriously want you hadley" he says while smirking and i roll my eyes. our food comes and we eat and after we run around the beach and pier before we head to the skate park and skate around.
