(So I think I'm just gonna stick to first-person now! Skys pov.)

"What's this really about five? And don't give me your famous quote 'its none of your business.' " Luther snaps at the boy, While I wince, putting alcohol on my wounds.

"Sky, let me do it." Five says. "Remember what you said earlier?" He told me starring deep into my eyes. I slowly nod.

"Alright, I need you to lean back." He instructed.

And I do.

He sighs, "Where is the biggest wound?" He asked, genuinely concerned for me.

I point to my shirt, at the beginning of the day, it was white. Now it's pink from my blood.

Five nods, "Sorry Sky. but I'm gonna need you to take your shirt off."

We are all adults, we need to get over this stuff.

I lift my shirt up and over my arms. Five has a slight blush on his face, but it quickly fades away and his eyes grow large once he sees the large bloody wound on my stomach.

"Sky.." He breaths.

"It's okay," I tell him leaning back on the bed. "Just do it."

"Well Luther, it's a long story."

Luther then sits down on the chair with an expression that says 'I've got time.'

--FLASHBACK--

Sky was out collecting food for them, while Five stayed at the library. But suddenly, a white, blonde lady appeared with a briefcase and waved.

"Who are you??" Old five shouted while holding a rifle at her.

"I'm here to help." Said the woman while walking up to him.

"Tell me why I shouldn't put a bullet to your head!" He demanded.

"Because.." She starts, with her high heels clicking. "If  did, you wouldn't hear the offer I'm about to make you." She then sits down on a seat. "Which would be rather tragic given your... current circumstances."

Five slightly relaxes his grip on the gun.

"I work for an organization called the commission, we are tasked with preservation of the time continuum through manipulation and removals."

"I don't understand." Five mumbles.

"Sometimes people... make choices that alter time, Free will. Don't get me started. When that happens, we dispatch our agents to.... eliminate the threat."

Five raised the gun back up, ready to shoot her.

The woman chuckles, "No, no, no. You misunderstood me, Your not a target." She smiles, "Your a recruit."

The old man slowly lowers his gun.

"I've come to offer you a job, Number Five. We've had our eye of you two for quite some time. And we think you have a lot of potential. Your survival skills have made you guys quite the celebertys at headquarters. That and your ability to jump through time., and her fire."

"Your saying that... we could actually leave here? Go back?"

"You only. But in return for five years of service. Once your contract is done, you can retire to the time and place of your choosing. With a pension plan to boot."

"If you can alter time," Five looks around him. "Why not just stop all of this from ever happening!"

"That's quite impossible I'm afraid. all of this, it was supposed to happen."

"That's insane, the end of everything?"

"Not everything.." The woman smirks, "Just the end of.... something."  She then puts her hand out. "So, do we have an agreement?"

"Maybe.. But I need to let Sky know first. I'm not just gonna leave her here."

The woman sighs. "Fine, but I expect you to come back with an answer."

--END OF FLASHBACK--

He just... left me?

"They turned me into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum. Or corrections as they called them." Said five, while stitching another one of my wounds.

"I want the only ones, there were others like me. Beings out of time, fractured. Extracted from the lives that they knew. I don't know how they got there, but I do know that none of them were as good as me.  They didn't realize it, but I was biding my time. Trying to figure out the right equation so I could get back. If I could just get back, I knew I could save the world. " Five continued explaining.

I wince because five was accidentally pressing hard on my wound. He snaps his head towards me, "Sorry lov-Sky.  Then,  broke my contract."

"So.. you were a hitman?" Luther asks.

"Yes." He simply says.

I frown

"Uh, you had a code, right? You didn't kill just anyone."

I felt my eyes start to flutter. "Get some rest, Sky." Five whispers to me. And the next thing I know, I'm asleep.

"No code, we took out anyone who messed with the timeline."

"What about innocent people?"

"It was the only way I could get back here."

"But that's murder-"

"Jesus Luther! Grow up. We're not kids anymore, There's no such thing as good guys or bad guys. There's just people. But when the world ends, all those people die. Including our family." The boy sighs, "Time changes everything."
