Her Life (TBATS)

Chapter 1: The peace

My dad died when I was 6. I live with my mom in a little house in Flordia. I go to high school and don't have many friends. I have never gotten a B in my life on my

grade card! My mom and I don't talk very much, she pretty much lives her own life and I'm stuck there. I miss my dad sometimes, he was always nice to me and spoiled me rotten. My mom and I moved to Florida after my dad died to get a new start. At school I don't really talk to anyone but Drew but I call him D. D is a really good friend and he is my best friend and has been since I moved here. He has his own group of friends that I don't hang out with but he still makes time for me. I don't have a car yet and I'm 17. I have a job at a little coffee place not to far from here. This part of Flordia has nothing.

The beach has trash everywhere all the time. The coffee shop I work at is the only one in the area. There is a shopping center about 40 minutes away so I don't go much. My favorite thing to do is to grab a blanket and lay on it in the yard and listen to music. Sometimes I do my homework but I like just enjoying the peace. It's so quiet that sometimes I fall asleep. Not very many cars drive by except for the people who live around here. I have never been scared to live here I love it. The one thing I miss from Ohio, where I used to live, is the snow. I loved the snow I would make huge snow slides when it snowed a lot. It always snowed there and sometimes school would be closed so I could play outside. I like the warm weather here but during the summer sometimes it's to hot. Everyone is really tan and I'm not. I just look like a Ohio person during summer, pale. Everyone asks how I'm not super tan and honestly I don't know why. I spend my time outside everyday but I'm still pale but I don't really care.

I volunteered to help build this new house across the street. It's been about three months and we're close to finishing. There's about 20 of us that work on the house during the weekend. It's fun I like knowing I'm helping a nice family every weekend. I'm so excited for them to come soon so I can see how much they like their house.

I fell alseep soon. I was really into my dream and something hit me. I tried to go back to sleep but something hit me again. So, I slowly opened my eyes and seen D standing there with a smirk on his face. I being woken up and D knows that. So I asked him "what do you want D could you see I was sleep here." He thinks it's funny to mess with me when I'm sleep so he said "but it's so fun and I have something to tell you. I got a girlfriend!!!" D was always getting a girlfriend I was pretty sure none of them were serious. So I asked who it was. He said "it's Paige Crewe from school." I knew exactly who he was talking about. She was the most popular girl in school and she had dated every guy in the school. I wanted to warn him but I knew he liked her, he talked about her all the time. So the only thing that slipped out was "I'm so happy for you D."

D didn't say anything after that he just laying down on my blanket. I fell alseep again because I was really tired from reading my book all night. I was reading Twilight I love this book. D knows I'm reading it and makes fun of me because he thinks it's stupid. In about an hour I would have to go across the street and help with the house. I get excited to help because it makes me feel good. We were almost done this weekend is everyone helps.

4 hours later

We finally finished the new house. I was so tired so I got home took a shower and went to bed. I went into the kitchen and made a PB&J. My mom she works 2nd shift at State Farm. When I finished eating I went up stairs and climbed into bed. I checked my phone and I got a message from D. It said that he was at a party and was drunk and kissed another girl. He doesn't know how to tell Paige. So, for now it was late so I ignored it and would text him in the morning. My cat, Annie, came and layed in my bed with me.

My nightmare

I started to dream about my dad. His name was Daniel. He was a sky diving tour giver. He was showing this married couple how to do it and went down with them. His parashoot had a malfunction and he could get it in time. I woke up breathing hard so I went to the bathroom. I slashed some water onto my face and checked my phone. It was 4:30 in the morning and I would probably be up at this morning and sit on my blanket outside.

When I was sitting on my blanket I soon feel asleep. I didn't think that I was still tired but I guess I was. I felt something hit me and I thought it was D so I ignored it. Then, it hit me again and I heard an unfamiliar voice talking to me.
