So this will be kinda like The Little Mermaid, with Billie as the merperson, and Mike as ze human. Set in 89, no smut. :)

Mike heaved out a long sigh. "Son of a bitch.." He swore, looking out into the sunset. "At least the sky is pretty. It's all I've got right now..." He mumbled.

He then squinted. Out by the rock beds in the shallows, he heard humming and saw the figure of a young boy. Maybe in his teens? He went over to investigate. The stranger was so lost in song that he didn't notice someone walking up to him,
"Now I cannot speak, I lost my voice. I'm speechless and redundant, cuz I love you's not enough. I'm lost for words.." Something about the boy's voice entranced Michael, and he felt like jumping into the sea with him.

Billie turned around, gasping in shock. His tail splashed as he attempted to make an escape. Alas, it was stuck in between some rocks. Upon closer look, this tail was blue, with green toward the tips and green fins. Kind of pretty.

Eventually Billie stopped struggling. "Okay, human, make it quick." He sighed and closed his eyes, preparing for what he thought was immanent death. "H-hey, I'm not gonna hurt you. You have a pretty voice..." Mike said softly. He took the time to observe his features: his small but lovable build, his droopy dreadlocks, his jade eyes, his elegant tail--man, everything looked good about him.

The merman blushes, "Why thank you, I get that from my mom, I swear." He mumbled. But then he looked at the boy in confusion. "Why did you not kill me? O-or catch me?? Or something like that?" He asked sheepishly.

"Well, uhm...I didn't really feel like hurting anyone today. That's not really on my to-do list. Plus, I-I don't really have the balls on me to do so. Lemme get you unstuck," He said, "It might hurt too, just so you know." Billie nodded. "O-okay." Mike tugged and tugged, finally managing to break him free. "Thank you, land human. I am forever in your debt."

He smiled at Mike and grabbed his face in order to kiss his cheek. He then swam away, leaving Mike in awe of the boy. Wait, he didn't get his name!! Now he wanted to kick himself. He let out an aggravated scream, kicking a rock halfway across the beach. "FUCK ME WITH A PICKLE!" He shouted.

Later, underwater, in a like, lost city or smth

Billie swam home, sighing in his room. "Wowww, humans are pretty." He whispered, a dorky smile on his face. ''Humans are dangerous!" His brother boomed, a growl to his tone. Billie flinched. "Did you have an encounter with one?"
"Yes, and he was the cutest-"
"It doesn't matter! He could have killed you, Billie Joe!"

"But he helped me break free!"
"Oh, did he, now??"
"Yes, I was stuck in some rocks, and he pulled me out. He also thought I was a good singer! So sucks to your 'humans will kill us' philosophy!!"
"Did he throw you about when he was done?"
"No, David, now leave me alone!" Billie growled. Then, he did something he immediately regretted: he lightly shoved David. David shoved back. "Don't test me, Billie. You won't stand a chance. When that human kills you, don't say I didn't tell you so." He swam away.

The dreadlocks boy shivered. Suddenly, his watery home felt cold. Empty. Meaningless. He had to visit this human somehow. He got an idea. At nightfall, he swam up to the surface--close to shore--and closed his eyes. After several minutes of concentrating, he turned into a young but fair-looking woman and crawled out of the water. The tricky part was balancing his newly found legs. Now where could that boy be? He spotted what looked like the shadow of a man.

He (or she in this case) cautiously peered around the corner of the ledge. It was Mike atop the land form, and he was about to jump. "If I jump, will the sand catch my fall?" He asked himself. He just shrugged and leapt off of the cliff. Billie gasped and was quick to catch him. Unfortunately, his hands couldn't support the weight for long, and Mike fell on top of a boulder with a thud. The merman observed the area, dragged Mike close to the rock beds where they'd met, and sat him down near the water. He gently hummed and turned back once in the water, his hand on Mike's chest.

Wait. This human's chest felt like his, only dry. He smiled with fascination, examining him with wonder. At one point, he pulled down his pants, but immediately pulled them up. "Oh my." He said softly. Billie started to hum, healing Mike. When the human came conscious, he blinked. "Who are you?" He asked.

"B-Billie Joe, but everyone calls me BJ. Or Billie. But no William Joseph!" He snapped at the end.
"Duly noted. I'm Michael." He extended his hand. The two shook hands, and for two full months, they'd visit each other at the beach. Finally, the merman had enough of the situation. He loved Michael, and he wanted--nay, needed--to be with him, one way or another. So he'd do the only thing possible: make a deal with a psychic and become human. He smirked at the idea. Now David would have to like humans. Everyone would.

That day he'd resurfaced, though his appearance was different. Mike had come to meet him, just like every day, and almost fell over dead. "What happened to you?"
"Oh, I got turned human so I could be with you,"
"And no dangerous curses? Or consequence stuff??" He asked.
"Nople-doodle."

Mike held Billie in a tight hug, holding him close. "Billie Joe, thank you, but you didn't have to..." Billie just smiled and hugged back. "Now, can you teach me the fundamentals of being human?"
"You bet."

As the two walked away (or, as in the smoller man's case--stumbled away), they didn't notice that the necklace he wore was glowing green...

Have some fluffy Bike! Man, this took forever to write! Pretty long boi too. Anyway, might make a part two, might not. Expect some Trike next ;)
