The Party Scene (Walk of Shame)

The show was like none other I'd ever been to- although I'd never had a personal.. relationship of sorts with somebody onstage. It was amazing. Victor would look down and smile at me, and I really did feel special. I knew that smile was for me.
It was so beautiful to see the love that everyone in the room had for this band, and I got this big, proud lump in my throat, as if it was my place to be proud of them- but I so was.
Normally, the end of a concert kind of tugs on people's emotions a bit. There's a big finish and a huge smile or tears on everyone's face and they all scream the loudest they have all night- but then their heroes walk off the stage and they go back to having trouble believing that they're even real sometimes. So you go from one of the most exhilarating feelings in the world to possibly one of the loneliest, and it's time to shuffle out with the crowd.
I couldn't believe that that wouldn't be me. Not this time- that night, I was living the dream.
When it was time for security to start asking people to leave, the girls and I pulled out our lanyards. Vic, Mike, Tony and Jaime loaned us one each for fear we'd be pushed outside.
After a couple of minutes, Victor appeared back on the stage.
"Come on!" he beamed, pulling us over the barrier one by one. We walked backstage, where everyone had started pre-party drinking.
"What's your poison?" Tony called to us.
"Tequila," I called back, and he flashed me a proud smile.
The girls got their Captain's. Vic appeared to my left and put his right hand on the small of my back, with a dark drink in his left. The six of us strolled into the greenroom at the very back end of the venue.
It was dimly lit with a purple tint and early 2000's pop punk played over the speakers.
I was hit with the feeling of never wanting that day to end once again.
