Chapter 7

Ste's POV

"You stay down here with the car. I will throw bags of clothes down to you, anything that has things that could break I will just walk down with." I say as I unlock my car and hand the keys to John-Paul. I make my way up the stairs and unlock the door with my key. I walk in to see Harry and Tony with bin-liners full of my stuff and the kid's stuff.

"Leave your keys behind after you're done" Tony said calmly considering the circumstances.

"I was planning on it." I say back to him. I grab bags and start taking them outside and throwing them down to John-Paul. He loads them into the boot and the back seat.

"Where are you planning on staying?" Harry asks

"Why do you care?" I ask knowing he doesn't actually care, he just doesn't want me out on the streets.

"Because if you have nowhere to go then you can always stay here. Ste you are still my best friend." Tony says coming out with the last bag.

"I'm moving in with John-Paul. We have been planning this for months. What do you think we have been doing the past 4 months. I'm not that horny. We have been redecorating and painting the new house." I say to them. I go to walk out but I am stopped by Diane.

"Let us know when you have a house-warming party. I would love to see what you have done with the place." Diane says giving me a hug. She has been like a mum to me since I lost my mum and then my dad. She was a great person.

"I will do Diane." I smile at her and nod to Harry and Tony. I take Diane's hand and place the keys in her hand. She hugs me once before letting me go. She grabs my hand and places a key ring in it. The key ring has a photo of her and I when I first moved in with them.

"See you around Ste." Diane says with tears in her eyes.

"See you around Hutchinson's. Have a good life" I say to them heading for the door.

"You too, Ste." Tony says. With that I am out the door and down the stairs with the last bag of toys for the kids. I meet John-Paul at the car and give him a hug and let a single tear roll down my cheek. I look up to the flat and see all 3 Hutchinson's stood waving me off. They know this is my first house and I have never done living on my own before. I use to live with Amy but we always had her parents round or we were both always out. I wave back at them and I see a single tear roll down Harry's cheek. He quickly wiped it away before the others notice. I got in the driver's seat and John-Paul got in the passenger seat.

"Off to the Nightingales." I say revving the engine.

"To the Nightingales." John-Paul says, smiling at me. This adventure was only just beginning. I drive towards the Nightingales and we see some stuff outside. There are bin-liners with Matthew and John-Paul's stuff in. We put all the bags in the car and head to the house.

We see the house and pull up into the driveway. This house is perfect, it is within walking distance of the school and walking distance of the bean so I can get coffee. I have the car so I can get to work. We both get out of the car and walk up to the front door. I get the keys out and we open the front door to see a lovely lavender entrance way. We put all the bags in their respective rooms. Matthew and Lucas will share a room as they are boys, Leah has her own room, and we have the master bedroom. We also hung up all the clothes. About 2 hours later we were ready to pick up the kids.

"Let's go and get our children." I smile at him and we walk out and lock the door behind us. We get in the car and head towards Sally's who meets us at the door with Matthew. John-Paul straps Matthew into his car seat and we are off on the road again. We park up outside the flat stairs and I get out getting Leah and Lucas from Leela. They get in the car and don't ask too many questions. We park up outside the house and get all the kids out as well.

"Where are we?" Leah asks, which causes all the kids to look at me and John-Paul.

"This is your new permanent home." John-Paul says to them

"Are you going to get married again?" Leah asks. I look and John-Paul and he smiles at me.

"Would you want to get married again?" I ask him.

"Yeah I would but you have to properly propose when we get the ring." John-Paul says and I respond by giving him a quick kiss. I unlock the door and let the children run inside.

"Welcome home John-Paul." I say to him.

"I can't believe we are finally doing this." John-Paul says as he turns to me and kisses me very passionately. We get lost in the moment for a split second.

"Come on. Let's be a proper little family" I say to him, picking him up bridal style and kicking the door closed. I plonk myself on the sofa so that John-Paul is sitting on my lap.

"I love you Mr Hay" John-Paul said to me as he pulled himself closer with his arms which were around my neck.

"I love you Mr McQueen." I say to him. I kiss him gently. He smiles sweetly at me and puts his forehead on mine.

Our little moment is soon interrupted when the kids come bounding down the stairs. John-Paul doesn't move, he just lets the kids come in and see us. Matthew jumps onto John-Paul's lap while Leah and Lucas sat next to me.

"Are we really staying here forever?" Lucas asks us.

"Yes we are Lucas" I say to him hugging the kids closer, I pull John-Paul that bit closer as well.

"This is our house and our family. No one can take that away." John-Paul says and looks at all the kids.

"Who says we have a party next week so people can come and see the house" I say to them and they all cheer. All the kids run off and go up the stairs to their rooms.

"How about next Friday?" John-Paul asks, getting his phone out ready to text all the McQueen's.

"Let's keep it intimate. Like the Lomax's and only a few McQueen's. I can't deal with them all, We had them all at our first wedding." I say to him.

"What about anyone else?" John-Paul asks as we knew quite a few people in the village.

"I told Diane I would give her an invite." I say cautious as to what he may say.

"Sure, I highly doubt they will come so why not." John-Paul says looking me dead in the eye.

"God, I love you John-Paul McQueen." I say to him realising all the reasons I fell in love with him.

"I love you too Steven Hay" John-Paul says kissing me once more. We were doing it. When we were married before, Leah and Lucas lived with Amy and only came back every-so-often and we also lived with all the McQueen girls.

We went to sleep happy that night and so did the kids. We finally have our own family and we aren't living off others.
