3rd Person POV

Ste and John-Paul woke to 3 children jumping on them. The 3 children somehow managed to get between them even though they were cuddled chest-to-chest. Ste got up out of bed and came back with a tray of 3 bowls of cereal 3 glasses of orange juice and 2 coffees. The kids didn't spill anything and the adults drank their coffee in peace. All 5 walked downstairs to see a letter pushed through their letter. It was addressed to The new neighbours. It said

Hello new neighbours.

Most importantly, we hope you settle in ok. We just have a few things that we would like you to consider.

1 We have young children so please can you keep parties quiet or ending before midnight

2 We have a dog so please no fireworks and anything that could harm him can you please make sure he can't get it.

3 we saw 2 men enter the house, so if you are a gay couple, please keep it inside.

Thank you,

Your New Neighbours.

Ste couldn't believe it. The issue was that he didn't know which neighbours sent it so he couldn't do much but they thought nothing off it.

"I need to go to work babe" Ste said as he came down the stairs in his chef get up.

"You know Tony and them will be there" John-Paul says as he gets up and goes over to Ste.

"It's only until I can get enough money to buy the emporium and open the deli again." Ste says knowing that he could make a lot of money from a deli but he needs to get it going first.

"Hope work goes ok for you, and don't forget House-Warming is on Friday" John-Paul says before kissing Ste and letting him leave.

"Bye all" Ste shouts before closing the door behind him.

"Shall we go to the park today?" John-Paul says and all the kids cheer and go to get dressed.

Ste's POV

I enter work 5 minutes early and I see Harry pulling chairs off tables and placing them on the floor.

"Morning" I shout through to the kitchen where I see Diane and Tony.

"Ste, good morning" Tony says coming out to greet me.

"Morning Ste. How was the first night in the new house" Diane asks giving me a hug.

"It was good. The kids love the new house especially since Leah gets her own room. John-Paul and I were woken up to the kids jumping on the bed and getting in with us. They had breakfast in bed and we had a coffee. Overall good. Although we got this letter this morning. I haven't shown John-Paul yet." I say as I get my apron on and I give the letter to Diane to read.

"The first 2 points I understand, but going against you for being gay, that's awful." Diane says as she turns the sign to open. Customers soon come in and sit to order. I start cooking when Harry come into the kitchen and sits on his phone.

"Do you work or have school stuff to do or are you just going to sit there being unhelpful." I say to him.

"You don't tell me what to do." He says as he continues to scroll on his phone.

"Technically I can as I own half of this restaurant." I say to him and motion with my eyes to the door. Soon Tony comes through and starts talking to me.

"Did you tell Harry to do some work? He is going through heartbreak because of you." Tony says to me but I just keep cooking. He may not care about the restaurant but I do.

"If he is suffering then he should be at home." I say. Tony and Harry just storm out of the kitchen. I hear my phone ping. I pick it up to see a text from John-Paul.

'Hey how much did you and Tony put into the Hutch. If it is the amount I am thinking of then I have an idea.

JP x'

I text him back with the correct figures.

'I put in £10,000 and so did Tony, what's your plan?

Ste x'

I go back to cooking when my phone goes off again.

'We have £15,000 left over from the house renovations. Use it to buy him out so you can run The Hutch. How good would that be?

JP x'

It isn't a bad idea, the money is in my account. I text John-Paul my thoughts of this idea.

'That's not a bad idea, I will start at £10,000. If he doesn't take it then I will up the price.

Ste x'

I can imagine me running this place as sole owner with the kids growing up in the kitchen and classroom.

'Brill, let me know how it goes and if it is done today. The sooner they are out of our lives the better

JP x'

I put down my phone as Diane enters the kitchen with Tony in tow.

"Guys can I talk to you" I say to them putting some knives in place on the chopping table.

"If you are going to ask for a raise Ste we can't do, we can't afford it." Diane starts but I cut her off.

"Actually i wanted to buy you guys out of the Hutch." I say to them.

"Ste this is our lively hood." Tony says.

"And you will keep your job, I just want to be sole owner. How much?" I say to them.

"Well we sunk ten grand into this place." Diane says a bit worried about their jobs.

"Then its ten grand you'll get plus an hourly wage for how many hours you work." I say to them. They deliberate for a bit before turning back to me.

"Can it be done today?" Diane asks.

"Yes, I can transfer the money in the next hour" I say to them getting excited that I could become sole owner of this place.

"Ok. Ten grand it is" Tony says and we shake on it. I transfer the money there and then. Nothing is going to change, I am just sole owner now. I get all the profit. It used to be half and now its full plus a bit more as I am only paying Tony and Diane about £10 an hour. I quickly send a text to John-Paul saying it was done and that I was sole owner.

By the time the end of the day came, Tony and Diane had left because they didn't owner the place anymore. John-Paul and the kids came in to see me before I closed up. I wrapped up a few sandwiches for us all. They step outside so that I can set the alarm for the night. I found the manual and changed it so the Hutchinson's couldn't get in. It beeps until I lock the door when it turns off signalling that is was on. John-Paul held Matthew on his arms and Leah and Lucas were holding hands and Leah was also holding John-Pauls jean pocket. I walk over to them, and they all begin to walk towards the car. We get the kids inside the car and strapped in so that they are safe, John-Paul and I get in the front and set off home.

Today was a good day
